Also why does everyone think the “mystery guy” is someone we already know?
Right now I’m voting Aokiji or a new character/species. The way he has his hand on his face and has hit feet crossed like that strongly suggests that it is Aokiji. The sleeping part just further emphasizes that. Problems with this theory are “Why is Aokiji even here? He’s not a marine anymore, and what business does he have with Punk Hazard?” and “Doesn’t Aokiji ride a bike at sea, why is he on a bird-like creature?”.
Since he is acting so casually/nonchalantly in the NW we can assume that he is incredibly strong. Interesting.

Its understated, but the best part of this issue is the back to back panels of the boys and kids reacting to General Franky, and then the girls standing there with totally blank looks.
I think its either Mihawk or the last Yonkou we havent heard of(Kaido)
Good catch with the bird thing. My brain interpreted that image the wrong way, and I thought it was some weirdass bulky guy or ship.
Anyway, I doubt it’s Aokiji. The facial silhouette is wrong for him compared to his post-timeskip looks in the Z movie. Considering this IS after the timeskip, though, it could potentially be a lot of people, if it’s a returning character.

Franky + Gen. Franky is looking pretty boss too, I loved it when G5 + Kids were admiring the robot with the sparkles and stippled aura. If they ever got transported to the Gundam universe they’d probably enter into a coma. 
Although I predicted Aokiji appearing at the end of this arc, I’m conflicted because the silhouette does not resemble him. Even in his casual form. I hope it’s a new but previously mentioned character like Roche Tomson. It can’t be Kaidou cuz androids don’t need sleep. j/k But seriously it ain’t him.

It’s hard to tell, but you may be right. Again, the biggest problem with the Aokiji theory is his relevance to the current story and the fact that he is on a bird-like creature instead of his usual bike. Yet, the sleepiness and his general position suggests that it is.
Quite honestly, it’s probably a new character. Oda was supposedly discussing a powerful/dangerous guy on the move during Jump Festa and this is most likely him.
I wonder what’s going to happen here now. We have the SH’s, G5, Law, Caesar, Dofla, and this mystery man going to/in the same place.
Damn fell off this series hard watched some of the pre time skip stuff and read the manga now i’m in the same boat with Mike trying to either watch the anime or read up on it…time to grind hard on this! Whitebeard that is all!!!
I hate that I think it’s Mihawk because of the silhouette, but I also think it’s Aokiji, because of the dialogue.
Whether it’s Mihawk, Aokiji, or some random cool ass guy, I am ready for whoever they are and Doflamingo.

I guess that could explain why he is riding on a bird instead of a bike. This, of course, assumes that it is actually him though.
I read that wiki too. Aokiji got some serious war wounds from that fight with with Akainu. I wonder what kind of injuries lava boy got. I also wonder where Kizaru was during all this; probably sitting on a mountain somewhere mumbling about how scary the other two admirals are.
Lava boy seems to be fine, and seems to have some new facial hair. Your theory regarding Kizaru’s whereabouts during the battle is strangely plausible.
This raises another question though, do the marine’s only have 1 admiral now? Aojiki is gone, lava boy is a fleet admiral, and Kizaru is the only 1 left.
Seems a bit odd. I would think that an admiral would be pretty hard to replace since they are so powerful.
