To add to this, it also has a very prominent, supporting cast of characters that develop over time (i.e., the crew of the the main character), whereas in many other manga, youāre often left wondering what happened to many of the characters.

If thereās one word that describes One Piece, itās consistency. In the 10+ years this manga has been in publication, Oda does not forget a single detail. The art style is an acquired taste, though.
Also, read Hajime no Ippo. 
If you want a comparison, I would say early Naruto (at best) is at least on-par with One Piece, otherwise OP blows both Naruto and Bleach out of the water. The storyline seems simple, yet it expands in certain areas that entices you to read on. One thing youāll really notice (and hopefully appreciate) is that the humor in One Piece blends in with the style very well and isnāt forced like with what you see in Bleach and Naruto.

Shoulder wounds are actually rather serious from what I understand, and considering how fast Vander Deckenās projects seem to go, even for her side, sheās probably bleeding quite a bit and itās not like sheās physically strong to begin with, soā¦

I donāt know. The way that Noah just started to plummet as soon as the axe hit makes me think he actually died unless his powers are also nullified by him being knocked unconscious or just in great pain.
Betting unconscious. Offing someone so casually isnāt Odaās style, let alone the setup with Deckenās touch.
It wasnāt casual, he got stabbed through with a trident then slice through again with a large axe. I think his sudden death is a clear statement by Oda of what to expect in the New World.

ATM I donāt like the faces and how they animate, they should get CC2 to help with animating the faces, they can do a spectacular job on it.
In certain cultures, stopping an awesome transformation sequence results in the offender getting tied down and getting his balls sawed off.
I thought they simply get erased from existence due to them violating a law of the universe: Never EVER interrupt a henshin/transformation.

As for henshin/ transformations Iāve always had a theory called āshock and aweā where basically the enemy is perplexed or amazed by the audacity or sheer beauty of the transformation sequence that they wait to see the whole thing.
Itās probably why Sailor Moon doesnāt get drop kicked with her minute and a half transformation sequences. Seriously, couldnāt they just shoot her in the head while sheās twirling around?
