I thought of the possibility and like kryonik said there is a statement that can lead us to this conclusion. His brash attitude could definitely make him a prime suspect.
[Spoiler=] It would probably make for better drama since there is already an intense human conflict, so Hordy showing that Fishmen can be supreme assholes too would help show that each race has the capacity for both good and evil.
Tenryuubitches would make nice instigators by signing a flimsy agreement in the disguise of benevolence while ordering her execution covertly for her āgumptionā.[/details]
The episodes have been really good (in my opinion). This week The Grey Terminal gets set on fire. Now on to read the newest chapter! Wait, no GOD PIECE next week?! Boo.
I think they have been really good too. Kid Luffy, Ace, and Sabo are incredibly entertaining and this is easily the best flashback story in the series. Personally I wouldnāt mind milking it a little bit more. Not only is Kid Luffy the funniest character in One Piece, but Iām gonna miss seeing him and Ace together.
I went back and watched the Alabasta episodes this weekend just to see Aceās first appearance again. I wish there was more of these two together in the series.
[details=Spoiler]Last we saw of Zoro he was out of breath, so he may have passed out and been captured. I donāt think Brook or Mansopp could take Hodi without Zoroās help. Though I also donāt see Hodi as the type to take prisoners, so thereās that too. I have no idea.
I donāt think they would just have him get beat down without showing us the fight since weāre all anticipating it. So Iām going to go with the Zoro drowned theory.[/details]
Yes, I think this is the panel that you were referring to.
Zoro
Spoiler
Zoro, Usopp, and Brook were all catching a ride on Neptuneās beard (or chest hair? lol). Unlike Usopp and Brook, Zoro didnāt have a bubble, so he was drowning. The scene ends with Neptune, Zoro, Usopp, and Brook all being surrounded.
Shit is about to hit the fan and I should have saw it coming but I canā believe what we appear to have on our plates for next chapter.
The warm up boss isā¦
[details=Spoiler] ā¦JIMBEI! I can get wanting to handle fishmen/mermaid problems himself, but dude has to know in a situation like this numbers are crucial. Outside of the Strawhats, all he may got in viable companions on that are island are the princes.
My thoughts exactly. Jinbei really turned up the volume on the dumb idea channelā¦
Jimbei and Luffy
Spoiler
I definitely think Luffy has the upper hand in this fight, more reason why it was a stupid idea to pick this fight. Thereās not really time to be throwing down with your only allies when you have lives on a time limit. Not to mention you just spent a month telling stories instead of dealing with the problem at hand.
[details=Spoiler] Itās obvious that Luffy is going to win, but the significance of the fight is to show just how much Luffy has improved and just how far Jinbei will go to save his peoplesā home.
[/details]
Jinbei will recognize that Luffy is the only one who can defeat Hordy and Decken at this stage. Oda really knows how to make you hate a villain, I canāt wait to see him get his ass whooped. What a douchehole.
Fire Logia user Ace fought Jimbei for 2 days on land to a standstill; Luffy will definitely prove his superiority with this confrontation considering the time limit.
Heh, page 15 was hilarious. I canāt decide whether I find Usoppās āRobin faceā or Brook blowing his cover more humorous.
Considering the amount of time spent on the flashback, despite there being no āactionā this chapter still as VS would say, a lot sure happened.
A New Challenger
Spoiler
Am I the only one thinking that Jimbei and Luffy arenāt even going to really (get to) fight? Vander Decken is still headed their way IIRC and while I can see Oda using this encounter to also show how much Luffy has improved (on dry land), I canāt see having Luffy outright beating Jimbei here. The only situation I can see that happening is in the case that Jimbei really is going to join, but I still find that unlikely as well. That or he holds back like Garp because of Ace.
Nah Sho2. I am tired of One Piece. Tired of Shonen Manga in particular.
Shonen Manga is complete ass to me lately after I just read all of Berserk. Itās just bad soap opera for boys. I think I should just stop reading for a long time and catch up or just casually follow it now like I do wrestling (aka have you guys react to whatever and then peek in when it seems interesting)
You gotta admit that even though itās free, itās pretty shitty when a shark popping up on a screen and saying some crap and then Jinbei saying āweāve gotta fight nowā is considered a lot happening.
I miss FMA too. We just watched all of FMA. That Manga could move.
But hey, me thinking itās dumb doesnāt mean you guys canāt think itās good. Especially since itās free.
Naw but we all knew it would take a minute or two before jumping into hte action. I think my initial prediction has it that we wonāt get to the main action for at least another chapter and a half. But you are right outside of Hodi setting a dead line, us knowing that Zoro wonāt be in a fight for a while (no less then a dozen chapters my guess), Robin mentioning āJoy Boyā and Jimbeiās demand, not a lot happened. But it is still a cool chapter.
Itās like you strive to miss the point of things as of late.
Thatās fine. Iām not sure what youāre saying ānahā to since I didnāt put words in your mouth or say that you were ever coming back. I rather suspected that you werenāt given your comments within the past month and a half.
Thatās also fine.
I generally donāt like Shonen either, with One Piece and Hunter x Hunter being the only exceptions and with One Piece being the only one thatās on-going at present.
Speaking of which, did Berserk actually update again or is that guy still suck playing Idolmaster? I heard itās rather good, but I donāt want to really bother with something that probably wonāt go anywhere.
Not really. Iāve said time and time again that Iāll take dialogue that develops things over mindless action that just serves to pad out the story and ultimately makes no āsenseā. (coughBleachcough)
āHappeningā to me is the development of the story and potential plotlines, not just ācharacter A uses violence on characters B, C, D and co.ā; we appear to differ here, which I am similarly fine with.
So, no. I donāt have to āadmitā anything. If I genuinely thought that One Piece was crap, then I would stop reading it even though itās free like how I completely stopped with Naruto and Bleach.
Not sure why youāre bringing up Fullmetal Alchemist when thatās completely unrelated. (By āweā, Iām guessing you mean Ibow2no1?)
Yes, Fullmetal Alchemist is quite excellent. And
Gee, we would have never been able to determine that without your sagacious conclusion.
Itās too bad that Jimbei is destined to job to Luffy. Hopefully he doesnāt get one-shotted since Iāve really liked his character from the beginning.
