soppranos is another show that falls under the same umbrella. this country clearly romanticizes “white” criminal activities, and just chuckles at rednecks being morons in reality shows, and the outlandish ignorance that is honey boo boo, but if its brown or black skin colored people, oh no sir, we’re not having it, get that trash off of our tv screens. could you imagine a reality show about ignorant ass country niggas from mississippi and it being popular, um no, but put that shit in random backwater america with some white folks, and its all lols and jokes.

i dont know, new york city seems to be kinda shitty when it comes to cops and minorities, and ive heard some shit out of long island too, not to mention the classism there. in a place as diverse as it is, people still stick to their own even in my understanding. maybe not in such a blatant way that they might have did just a couple decades ago or more, but its still there.

It was in a small town (Lincoln Park) in NJ. My folks don’t live there but pass through occasionally. It’s like 30 miles away from Manhattan which in my opinion is not far enough from the city for dumbnuts like that. Seriously he just looked perplexed and my dad waved to me from the distance and the butcher saw that so he just gave me the meat but I’m certain he had no cognitive understanding of the fact that I was insulting him. I mean there’s active racism spurned from hatred and then there’s passive racism derived from dumbfucktitude.
houston is half white, a quarter black, and the rest hispanic, with a solid asian population, and even a small german population. in my day to day, i see a mixture of everything here, african, asian, white, black, middle eastern. its a pretty solid melting pot, even when i go out, and it is much more progressive then even just 5-6 years ago. they even have a strong “gay area” in montrosse that has seen its bad days, with someone getting gay bashed in the 90s and murdered by some dudes from out of state that, “came here to beat up some gays”. after that they bounced back even stronger.
so all in all houston is pretty diverse, and i see a lot of interracial couples also, but i think some of the white suburban folk might be a bit more out of touch then others, but no more then any typical white suburban area to be honest. typical bad parenting, mixed with general human stupidity, and a whole lot of entitlement and lack of any culture whatsoever. austin is the most progressive out of all the cities in texas, sometimes being compared to california in its culture and weirdness.
all in all houston is fairly cultured (great restaurants, great theater district, museums, “gay district”, etc…), although their downtown sucks (lol), most of the cops in nice areas dont have shit to do. i rarely see them around, and when i do they just cruising. most of their work goes into the lower income areas where drugs and prostitution runs rampant, but houston isnt anywhere near as dangerous as other major cities in the country, shockingly. i guess there is a bit more order to how criminals handle their shit here. in a state as gung ho as texas, and a city that lets it rock like houston, you probably learn to respect the game real quick, because you can get murdered for free here, and walk on that shit.

If less people supported law enforcement mindlessly maybe we’d have a chance, but white people like law enforcement precisely because they can use it to keep minorities in line and give themselves more advantages. Law enforcement is always white dominated regardless of the local demographics. The hiring and power structure is purposely designed that way, as white people are not so stupid as to give a large group of minorities guns and legally allow them to trample white people underfoot. Only minorities are dumb enough to support that structure when it favors whites.

There’s a 1 in 4 chance each of those black guys were involved in the legal system anyways. If you had a white daughter, you’d be glad the cops got involved.
The South is a lot more integrated than the north. As someone who grew up in NY, has lived in Georgia and Tennessee, and has visited almost every state in the continental US, I can tell you that’s true. You can divide racial neighborhoods in NYC by streets, i.e. the black section, Italian section, Chinese, etc. Whites and blacks mix more freely in the Southeast and in the Southwest, it’s more whites, latinos, and native Americans. Up north, the races pretty much keep to themselves.
Which isn’t to say those attitudes aren’t still prevalent up north, people just keep them to themselves for the most part. To be honest though, if someone hated me for my race, I’d rather them be honest about it so I’d know to keep my ass away from them than keep it to themselves and be muggin’ me all the time.
That last statement is extremely ironic considering what I have done.
But I no longer care about helping anyone else out. If you’re too weak and cowardly to take what you want you deserve what you get. I’m not going to hold your hand and solve all your problems for you. Do it yourself.
