alot of the teleport for mixups and lightning to cut off my air game to get in. and he used sent drones and doom missles alot to cover him if i tag him so i will have to break my combo

i can’t tell if kara :h: webthrow on incoming ever crosses up. i hit it sometimes and i assume they were just pressing a button 'cause they thought i was asleep or something. if it was actually crossing up that would be the bees knees.

having it throw midscreen again isn’t a problem because you can turn it into another corner combo. same reason i like missles a lot more in this game, if they ever mess up your combo and a webthrow is the only way to convert, web zip otgs let you still do a combo which is the best

also kara spider stings on incoming are pretty cool. only thing i’ve noticed is that some characters hitboxes are kind of small and to follow up on a cross up sting you need to dash up something before you webthrow again. happens on magneto and other people i forget

also i like pretending i’m wesker and doing j.l into air series into whatever on incoming dudes pressing buttons. for the record wesker’s j.l is 5 frames startup, 8 frames active. spider man’s is 5 frames startup too but only 3 frames active. j. m has a better hitbox and can lead into the same thing but it’s 7 frames startup and 4 active.

j.h is probably the best at this due to the hitbox. the laziest air-to-air hitconfirm off of j.h at normal jump height j.h df webzip j.h into s. m into whatever

i’d work on more crossover/under stuff but i don’t like this game anymore

I need help, any advice for geting behind opponent with web zip otg before doom missles in corner, also im teying to come up with a way to lvl frank up flashy, cuz after spider bite or web throw u can hard tag him and take pik, i wanna be able further extend it also being able to take another pik, im thinking dhc to crawlee assault, and get the wall bounce maybe getting another webthrow,

I have a question about spidey’s mix up. When you are doing his web zip mix ups, how do get a good high-low mix up off of it? I heard that many people consider it a pseudo tri-jump but I couldn’t figure out why exactly. The part that i’m having the most problem with is his low game off the web zip.

When positioned and covered right you can whiff a j:l: to look like it’s going to hit high then go low or actually go high. It works best in the corner with an assist that holds your opponent in place long enough. Also you can air dash after zip but it’s not as useful in the corner as you have to be much higher for the dash to come out.

It’s better on larger characters in close range because if you actually do the empty :uf: web zip on someone from the ground, their body will actually block you and stop your momentum, causing you to immediately start falling like a rock. From here, you can choose to do a j.:l: or wait and land for a c.:l: . The part that’s stupid as hell is the fact that you can do the j.:l: when you’re practically touching the ground, lol.

Another thing is that since you can cancel your c.:l: into :uf: web zip, you can play a whole bunch of frame trap games with them my messing with the timing between each c.:l:, trying to catch them pushing buttons. If they pushblock, you can just web zip back in and start with the hilarity all over again. You also have :l: Spider Sting to cover your ass and also give you another high-hitting option if they’re not of the pushblocking type, and it’s also an amazing counter-hit move.

If you want to test they’re habits early on in the match, you can throw out st.:l:'s instead of c.:l:'s so that you can see if they like to chicken block, push block, or whatnot. That way, you can prepare stupid reads that may hand you the game, such as UWT reads or web throw bad button-pressing attempts.

Sorry if I went off on a tangent from the original question, but I felt that it was a a good idea to throw a good chunk of information out there.

You have to set up your hit confirms. You can’t just run up on someone and auto dial you have to put them in a situation that will force them to do something they didnt want to do then counter it. For example, dashing up s:l: pause then tri jump :s: when they try to pushblock. this will force a normal instead since they aren’t in stun and give you the counter hit. You just have to recognize the hit

don’t be afraid to just cr L 3 times into cr H btw. you sacrifice some damage but guaranteed hit confirms are still guaranteed hit confirms.

There’s actually more hitstun than you think; you just need to understand how his hit confirms flow with the timing on his moves and it’ll get a lot easier, believe me. @___@

Hmmm may have found an interesting setup that I want to explore with more before I say anything but it could be useful

Just confirmed that J.M and J.L can hit crouchers from a jump immediately afterwards except for a few low crouchers (like Morrigan). Seem J.M can hit more people but I would test this out.

yep. this is my incoming mixup now in corner

call doom missiles, dash H web throw, (they block or get hit into missiles/webthrow combo) if they block, pressure with cr L’s and instant overhead jM when missiles will come down.

Based on when they get hit by missiles, i can call it again later in the combo lol

Been using Rocket’s log trap for most of my mixups. Just been calling it mid air dash when spidey’s right above the opponent, then web zipping back to the original side if necessary, allowing me to pretty much pick which side they have to block the log on.
