thought i was decent with spiderman but i really need work on movement, mostly safe movement, but also just varying up my approaches for offense
still need to try air empty zip. it leaves you right above the ground if you don’t mash an air attack out, which lets you basically chicken block anything they did wrong for free, and it also is sort of a mixup on when they should pushblock. could probably easily counter hit their pushblock attempt with a falling air normal at that height.
I am really enjoying playing Spider-Man, if I could actually do full combos (OTG etc) I would be beating everyone. I get multiple hits and weak ABC launch ABC launch combos.
I mix it up with web swing, web zip, web ball while calling drones then go high low or low high on people. Really easy to get hits.
Never the less, I OCV a lot of people with my Sentinel. lol
Spidey works really well with Sent. Rahsaan made it work really well in vanilla. Too bad he switched teams already.

Hmm, haven’t played anyone who does that without calling assists. :l: disruptor has quick recovery and depending how far you are, it will be hard to punish. Ideally, you can guard cancel with jump so that you can get zero recovery on landing. Personally, I’d just do c:h: (hit/whiff) sting if you are too far and can’t punish with s:l: / are spaced right and if disruptor is done without assists.
Is it not a block string? The only thing that really comes to mind is mash CA but the best option is to probably just block it and reposition.
Depending on the strength used for disruptor, I don’t think it’s a true block string. Also, I don’t think CA will work because Mags can probably trade with shockwave since the beam pushes relatively well.
I haven’t seen so many Mags do this because it’s quite a momentum killer. Most just fly :s: but that doesn’t work against Spidey if done without assists.
well crH xx disruptor at point blank is definitely minus enough to be unsafe … i can just mash crA with doom for example. but usually i’m at a loss when trying to punish it with spidey since at times the pushback is enough that spidey’s crA is too short…?
That’s why you use c:h: instead. It has the longest reach and can be cancelled with sting for an easy combo. You can also catch chicken blockers frequently with it. Against recovering Mags, you can get him with c:h: if he uses :h: beam and if he uses :l: disruptor, you will either catch him jumping with Spidey’s c:h: or sting him when he air dashes towards you.
hmm. what’s the startup frames on crH and what’s the frames on sH?

I know off the top of my head that c.:h: and st.:h: both have 10 frames of startup, but the hitboxes for both moves do not reach max range until the middle of the animation. :l: Spider Sting has 7 frames of startup, and I have no idea about :l: Web Swing.

Agreed. It is much better than Brawl. But still sad at times. I guess connection from East coast to Colorado also is a decent distance.
Air was right with both s:h: and c:h: having 10 frames of start up. :l: swing has 12 and :l: sting has 7. Disruptor has around -19 to -21 frames on block.
