Your way of looking at it makes little to no sense.
At least someone still looks at Omega.
I swap around in both. Some people like Omega mode in my locals. I often feel at a loss playing Omega because he is so different.
I don’t know… It makes sense to me.
When Omega came out I jumped on Vega straight away as I love to play the character but he does require a lot of effort compared to most of the cast (Non-Omega I mean).
So I picked him and at the end of the session me and my friends had we were saying that out of everyone, Vega seemed to get the least “Omega” stuff and that it was more like he was a buffed Ultra character whereas other characters went crazy (Juri getting actual Marvel combos for example).
Basically - If Ultra Vega was replaced with Omega, he still wouldn’t be amazing but he’d be a lot more playable.
Hey guys, not sure if any of you noticed, but Vega was changed in the patch. His target combo is still LK, HK for the input, but it now does cl.LK into CH. I don’t know why the change, but it’s visually more appealing for one and does seem to give a little more time to charge for ST or Ultra 1 for example.
I don’t remember this being in the older Omega mode, so someone correct me if I’m wrong. SHC no longer goes to the wall anymore. It neutral jumps and will fly at the opponent when you press a punch button again. LK, MK, and HK all have different heights, so you may be able to use it to hop over a fireball and build meter instead of FA soaking. It has a little hop at the end when you land so it might not be all that safe, but who knows. At the right distance it should be safe. EX still goes to the wall though like in USF4.
