so they took away the shortcut for palm, but also made it the overlap priority over fireball. So now I can’t get it when I want it, and get it when i’m trying to fireball footsie. I have a hard time thinking of how they could have fucked up gouken any more than they did.
ok, so now that backthrow is neither a damage dealer nor lets you go on the offense, what the fuck is it for? I used to enjoy a backthrow. Now I’m depressed when I get a backthrow and realize that it’s a piece of shit that didn’t get me anything.
now that throws are are useless for starting an offense, and so are essentially not scary, why would anybody bother teching with any regularity? So that makes low-kogo’ing a tech a pointless choice.
now that kongo is on QCB, it’s much more difficult to use on defense, so why the fuck is it even there?
fireballs don’t cause float, so why the fuck have an air fireball? Our two hit ex fireball is too slow which makes the second fireball blockable at many distances. gee thanks.
flip throw has faster recovery, but now they can quickrise it, so you are still trapped in the corner.
lp.palm finally has a useful animation, but with no shortcut, it’s stupidly difficult to use.
f+hk is essentially the same as a lvl 1 focus attack, minus the ability to dash cancel the recovery. so, why would I EVER want to use it when I could F1dc instead?
I could see the point if far hk was removed and so we could have the axe kick at any range, but they didn’t do that. ALL they did was make axe kick and far HK even more difficult to use because now I have to be careful to not hold forward. So fuck you if you want to use far HK in footsies or close hk as a focus breaker, you are getting this pointless donkey kick instead, when you could have gotten that with a F1 instead if you had actually wanted it.
