I thought I was the only one who went only for 3S. Huh : / .
At any rate, Crimson, Sweet Poison’s half right (cuz we all know 3S is the greatest fighting game in existence). If you wanna play something else, you have every right to tell us to gtfo. I wouldn’t mind. I’m happy to get in any sort of 3S with others at all these days.
No no, dont worry. Casuals were ok tonight. Nobody really showed up to play FG’s. There was a darksouls setup. My SSF4 setup. A Shadows of the colossus setup. And a Marvel setup. I got some good games in on Marvel. I am excited for Ultimate.
It was in the far backroom. They bought it when they went to WalMart before hitting up casuals. It was some HD remake. It was whatever though because I still got my games in on AE. That was all what mattered.
I just find it odd to have a set up for such a game. How do you even rotate for that?
“Ok, I’ll run for the first 10 min, you can run for the next 10, then you the next 10, then you, then you, then you. Then you climb the colossus, then you fight…”
Hey guys tourny this friday at coli! it will be teams for AE and MvC3 so find somebody!! 3s will probably just be singles because of lack of players.
$5 Venue $5 for each player (so $10 for each team)
****Rules for 2v2:
You must register your team as players+characters. You cannot switch your character once the tournament has started. Team names are encouraged.
No same character teams. Ryu + Ryu is not allowed. Ryu + Ken or whatever other character is fine.
This Tournament is Waseda style. You will designate a team order on a per match basis. Player A from one team plays player A from another team…, the respective player B’s then play. If both players from the same team win, the match is over. If each team has 1 win, the winners will play to determine the winner of the match. Matches are 1 game, if you lose you better hope your teammate wins 2/3 is simulated by the Waseda format.
99 seconds, best 2/3 rounds, etc. Standard rules apply
This Tournament is Double Elimination****
Alright, I’m getting ready to place an order for parts when the TE Kitty becomes available again (which looks like it will be sometime this week).
If anyone was looking to get me to fix/mod anything, now would be to time to bring it up. I’m starting up a new arcade stick build soon. Once I get going on that project, I will most likely not be doing any mods until I’m done (emergency repairs maybe).
I already know what Dub, Corey, and Tyriders need. So you guys need not reply.
I’m from lincoln, but I can probably come to most tourneys and casuals.
I’m looking for some locals to play with since I hate online and none of my friends are into fighting games as much as I am.
Man its good to know there are some people in Omaha (heck even NE itself) that play Street Fighter (or any fighting games for that matter) as I thought I may be the only one with dreams to compete on a “pro” level. I wont even pretend I don’t suck, I just got my tourny stick on 10/31/2011 so I’m learning the game and the new play style (only had a 360 controller before hand).
I’m looking for people who can share their knowledge and people I can practice with as none of my friends have any interest in doing anything but smash buttons, so even though I don’t really know advanced tactics they have no chance at beating me. Which isn’t fun for me or them. =/
These tournys still held? I checked the calendar at the Coli website and it was mostly Card games. I don’t have the skills to enter a SSF4 AE tourny but would love to spectate.
Just checkin’ in for some South Dakota guys if Omaha is still running any events. A handful of us might make the run down there just for fun if things are still going on. Saw a posting for Ultimate MSK, which might be something (though also saw it was a “final” thing) as well in a couple of weeks. Probably be 4 or so of us if that makes things worth doing or not.
You guys should come to the tournament on Friday. It’s at Coliseum Gaming on 84th and Park over by the Ralston Area. It’s right off I-80 off the 84th Street Exit. Just a little bit South of Q St. @z. epiphany we run a singles tourney on the first Friday of every month and a doubles tourney on the 3rd Friday of every month. Same place. Usually the same time. Right about 7:30 is when Marvel Starts. SF starts when Marvel is over (we can’t put a time on this due to not knowing how many people come for marvel) then 3S starts after that. Hopefully you guys drop on by and play.
I would love to attend the tourny, but as far as competing haha, don’t know about that yet. Is there any kind of fees to spectate or is just coming out to hang out and see how its all done kind of frowned upon? As far as the area where its located I’m familiar and I think I’ve seen the place itself.
I’m sure I’m probably over thinking the whole process, but I’m just that kind of person.
