[details=Spoiler] such an elaborate illusion by mysterio. one thing that i have questions on is which x- man was he fighting for over 90 minutes? im guessing that was part of the illusion also.
Jubes is dead from the initial explosion then we see her presented as the last person he fought and killed.
mysterion took a well deserved bow at the end[/details]
[details=Spoiler]i always had a place for mysterio in my top tier villains since he duped murdock in the initial issues of smiths daredevil run, and then came back in sensational spidey with a quarter of his head missing. and said that he wasnt ready for hell, and now his powers are hella more powerful
Man this is the first comic I bought at the new comic store nearby. You gotta respect comic stores, not everyones made for that business.
Anyway look at the 2nd page of this thing, at Wolverines big upturned head. As an artist I gotta say that is a great picture of Wolverine. I miss the 90s Jim Lee style but that is an awesome consolation prize to come with the 00’s. The way this guy draws Wolverine…it makes me bored of some of the other Wolverine / Xmen series that are out right now.
I had this spoiled for me and it was still awesome.
SPOILERS
SRK isnt a comic forum, so we should wait a few days before talking spoilers (accidental spoilers I mean…since everyone’s spoiler button finger gets itchy once in a while)… but the guys at CBR have worked up a big discussion about this. If you’ve read it, its not a bad place to go: SPOILERS http://forums.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?p=8168200&posted=1#post8168200
im a memeber there too i was kinda 50/50 on the guy they were crucifying. he was just posting his theory. but ya maybe he should have used spoiler tags lol
Yeah you can speak about the issue openly spoiler tag free on or after Wednesday, I think that’s fair. It’s not really a week later but since comics came out last Friday in the US, that seems okay. Seriously everyone just go read it.
Stores get their comics a week before, but comic book companies are really strict about what days they can put their comics on the racks. They deemed that day Friday last week due to the Holiday. LOL just don’t say what the name of your store is online for their sake, they can get in serious trouble for that. Unless you live in Canada then it doesn’t matter…
Okay Thursday instead, I’m easy. Please use spoiler tags until then.
I’m not going to make another rule about spoilers, it’s up to the posters to decide. But yeah in general wait a few days for major stuff because not everyone reads or even buys their comics on the day they come out, and certain things like this comic should not be spoiled right away.
Bleek - Missed your post before. Future stories are never canon in the long run. There were a few things that were off with current Marvel in the last issue, but of course who can say if current Marvel’s past (616) will snap back to the past Old Man Logan showed. Hell it probably will, comics always do that.
For right now, just regard it as Millar’s personal Marvel future knowing that someone at Marvel will eventually contradict something in this book so it can’t happen. That’s how these things play out. Or if you want, regard it as canon right now, but not forever lasting.
Much more in depth posts on this subject earlier in the thread.
Longshot matches the weapon set and is luckier than a rabbit with 12 horseshoed feet. He’s the only one he could miss for that long and still beat. But it’s still hard to swallow a ninja telepath hesitating or ms.magneto not going emo fatal attraction, or iceman not saying “bur! its cold in here!!”, or knightcrawer not bamfing out or…
[details=Spoiler]Like bone claw Wolverine cutting Onslaught? He’s been pulling stuff like that since forever. Jobber aura is all kinds of broken.
As for Mysterio, he could fool Spider-Man’s Sixth Sense in his very first appearance, fooling Wolvie’s senses isn’t that hard.
And if that doesn’t work for you there has been evidence in FNSM and slightly in ASM that Mysterio is in league with demonic / otherwordly forces. So him using actual magic is definitly a possibility. He came back from the dead somehow and half of his head is blown off under the fishbowl, yes half of his head. He told Miss Arrow (another demon basically) that their ‘bosses’ had other plans for Spidey in FNSM. And in ASM, Mysterio did aid Norman Osborn with Harry’s disappearance/ressurection. Though that may not be a supernatural thing, it is funny when you think about Mephisto’s involvement in OMD/BND, Mysterio may have been working as his agent of sorts.
Though I’m not sure “Wolverine owned all of the X-Men in his own comic” needs further explanation. That’s what you’re supposed to do in your own comic. Seriously… [/details]
alot of people are analyzing this wayy too hard. its an alternate universe. people dont have to exactly be the same way they are in the 616 continuity.
he’s been killed before, but he doesnt need to die in 616. would make alot of other Xmen fans happy, but the “Death of” thing has been overdone these past years
