I think it does, but that was my favorite taunt anyway.
Some of the taunts you have to wait for their head to fall on the floor so…yeah try your favorite taunt and if it doesn’t work out…use the best one, #4!!! :bgrin:
I think the reason it would matter is the point of which you can cancel the taunt from, some don’t allow it as early.
Yeah, I just assumed they all had to be canceled at the same time, since if I remember right there’s no taunts anymore that count as actual hits ala Dudley’s in 3s etc.
Edit: it works with taunt 1, and seems to be very similar in canceling time. Perhaps they really are uniform.
Just thought of making a little list of things we can do to punish people who are trying to avoid getting Kara’d

Shoryu Fadc Ultra(chance of counter hit is high)
Walk back sweep
Walk back kara throw(may not work on balrog)
Walk back b.mk overhead.

Jump up roundhouse
(In corner) Wait till they are about to land ex shoryu
Neutral jump Fierce/RH/Forward

I actually find taunt 7 gratifying for cancelling into a move. Your Clownage Combo is something sick. I gotta get the FADC down. It’s the stuff pro’s are made out of
I use it regularly for Balrog as well since the startup time helps. The problem is he closes distance fast. Your timing my be flawless as you will eat the hit. I also do the same for Gouken, Ryu (if across the room obviously jump), Akuma, Fei Long, Cammy, Rose…well hell almost everybody. Sagat and Abel are the only chars that I have tried point blank ultra return and failed. If he is kissably close, just block (unless you know it will be a chip victory). The first hit of the knee will go through Ken. If Sagat is slightly further back, Ken will hit him. Abel may either hit you or you will get the spiral, at least in my experiences
it’s just like the kara throw. hit and hold MK then hit and hold MP right after. i actually find it even easier then kara throwing since you’re only hitting 2 buttons and they’re adjacent to each other.
I dont know if this has been brought up somewhere before, but today I was able to fr. shoryu xx fadc xx full ultra. Happened twice, once against a Ken, once against El Fuerte. Both times, 19 hits. I tried doing it again in training but couldnt, but thought it was crazy that I did it against people. Ill practice some more, im sure I can get it again in training.
Yeah it does if you can get it to hit like that. EdMa discovered that, 1 hit fierce shoryu can hit off-the-ground moves like Honda headbutt into FADC to full ultra.
Tomo, I think you can, but not exactly like Sagat’s. It gives you just a tad bit more horizontal reach on your shoryu. I can barely tell the difference, and I don’t know how useful it really is.
You just input forward, down, downforward, forward, then, while still holding forward, roll your finger from mk to whichever punch you want. I play on pad, so I can only comfortably kara shoryu with FP.
If anyone knows a great use for it (I miss my 3rd strike Kara shoryu…), please let me know.
A bit after the moment you jump. You have time to go to neutral pretty fast and do it, but it has to be a moment after you leave the ground. Kara EX tatsu makes you go so far, it’s beastly .
