Can someone explain to me why no one gets flamed for this although there are already documented threads for this specifically ?
Or is it just new people that create topics and get flamed …
they don’t get flamed because they talk to mods beforehand. they don’t get flamed because both people who have mad new match-up threads with the intention of actually updating the first couple posts, and let’s face it reading through a 30+ page match-up thread to find the 1 or 2 posts talking about what your looking for blows.

Im sorry I just dont see the point, even if it is mod approved, there are 3 stickies about the same thing. Just doesn’t make sense to me just because a mod said it is okay. Thats just me though.
what’s there not to get? they are wanting a match-up thread that is updated, the other 2 weren’t. thus this got stickied/made.
Very nice format so far. The scenario based tips are very helpful. Has anyone done a list of Ken’s AA options?
For me, the play-style suggested already for Balrog actually works well for Bison too (maybe boxer/dictator would be the best way to refer to them in the same sentence). Being patient and locking down his head stomp/devil reverse pretty much limit his offensive options. For the headstomp, I like just walking under it and punish. Simply backing up works very well too as you can easily throw him the moment it misses. The DR can be tougher to counter but focus and blocking work just fine. With those gone he has to move towards you and that will place him into kara/cross-up range. Which ain’t easy to do and keep a charge. At this point yer in his head and that might be all you need to win.
Just like Boxer, you really don’t want to jump in at the Dictator unless he’s knocked down. That’s his real weakness, lack of a solid wake up game that makes him vulnerable to cross-ups and kara-throws. Mix in b. mk into your combos against him as players tend to hold db with him. By letting him know you’ll use overhead attacks he’ll be even less able to DR or Headstomp his way out of the assault…but sad truth is Bison can easily turn the tables on you. Teleports and scissor kicks not to mention that ultra have to respected.
Dictator, like Akuma can’t really take more than 2 or 3 of ken’s combos so don’t get over anxious and impatient and start missing combos and openings. But just like a good Akuma, a good Bison can really lay the kaibash on ken.
I just questioning the thought behind it. I think it’s stupid that there are mutiple threads that can go under a previous sticky. Doesn’t that sound familiar ?
Exception is that this is mod approved, but it doesn’t make the forum any less cleaner, now there is a new sticky, making 3 stickies, all about match-ups. Espeically this new sticky not saying anything about being “updated,” just makes it more confusing for newcomers, now I have to read threw 3 threads about match-up before I ask a question. Something tells me that wont happen.
Basic question, why couldn’t this go under under one of the other two stickies ?
This place doens’t make sense, and comes off as hypocritical.
This couldn’t go under any of the other ones because I wouldn’t be able to edit the first posts or title, also the other threads had a bunch of outdated info/incomplete stuff and weren’t extremely helpful. I will update this atleast twice a week and people can engage in discussions to further explore tactics. Also my strats are tourny appoved :karate:

So each of the threads are more of just the opinions of the topic creator. I never thought that everything in each update thread was completely new so I dont see the point of a new one, maybe revamping the orignal one by deletetion of uneeded.
Just makes more sense to me to have a continousy updated one.
Being tourny approved is only relavent to an extent because as time goes on people find out new strats that could potentially change the entire game. It is good that they are tourney approved though.

None of these questions have been a what if question.
But if you want one, or two in this case, what if someone new made a new match-up thread and it was stickied every month ? What going to happen, they going to get flamed for starting new match-up threads ?
Another what if, Im on a roll now, what if you put this under the old match-up sticky, pretty sure that would keep it alive and you wouldn’t need a need for this thread. You can even edit your posts in that thread too.
Doesnt even matter considering nothing’s actually going to happen.

as was said over and over. and has been requested by the ken players for a few months now. we wanted a match-up thread that would have the first post updated somewhat frequently so that people could do a quick check in the thread on a match-up their having trouble with and get an answer rather than have to search through a 30+ page match-up thread to find the 1 little tidbit about the match-up they are struggling with. the only way chaos/mag could get the first few posts was to make a match-up thread themselves since joe masters had dissapeared.
once a good, well updated one springs up new ones wont need to be made, but this one needed to be made and we should be appreciative of the people willing to take the time to keep it updated, not jump all up their asses.
How would I edit the posts for the first page? You want to sift through every page to find stuff, that sure is fun. If you take a look @ the abel thread. Hav made a really nice match up thread. Everybody else’s is usually 45 page long thread with a bunch of info inside and not of it on top (front page) Choose your destiny! And enough with the spam! This needs to be discussion only for match ups/help. Kaiden why don’t you pm a mod and ask them what they think. Please no more spam. 
Thanks for the tips. I guess treating him like Rog without a wakeup game is a good idea. Maybe it’s just the online delay, but his poke strings, constant scissors and keep away make for a frustrating match.
