just block chun’s flip kick like a regular crossup… you can autocorrect a dp on it but any good chun will know their range and make it very difficult to dp.
as for they’re slow fireball pressure dont jump forward, they are waiting for that and will airthrow you everytime. what you need to do is find the range where they’re a most uncomfortable, with guile its usually around sweep range, and with chun it can be either 3/4 screen or right in their face. guile’s normal’s arent much better than ken’s so you can beat him from step kick range and cross him up all day. dont play footsies with chun though, she’s got way better range and can punish cr.mk fb with ultra very easily. basically get used to blocking the slow fb AND the poke afterwards or meet it with your own fb if they get too sloppy.
Against Chun Li, I’m amost always baiting EX-SBK wakeup with a well positioned jump-in LK (beats it if you hit roughly central), but I’m sure I’m asking for trouble when the scrub chuns figure it out. At the very least, though, you get them to play cautious.
Some chun Li’s footsies are easy to predict - tend to end in a cr.RH. Get ready for this with a focus. Need to be a bit more psychic than with guile’s cr.RH obviously, but if you see them pattern with a few lows followed by cr.RH, you know what to do!
Just lost to a M Bison, and only now do I realize. I have no idea what I’m doing here. Once get starts getting pressure on me, I’m fucked. I don’t know how to get out, the best I can do is guess right on when his pokes are going to come out and sneak in a kara throw. Other then that, once he gets thrown ONCE, he’s either extra cautious, or starts OS my throw attempts. The only other thing I know about this match up is that if he’s teleporting on wake up is that I can OS a tatsu to make him think twice about it.
Which way are you suppose to block Dahlsim’s yoga fire and then he decides to teleport behind you? So basically you have the FB in front of you and Sim behind you. Do you continue to block where the FB is coming from or are you suppose to hit the directional opposite of Sim?
What should be my game plan against Dictator!?! Also what should I do against his scissor kick M.k loop, other than a Hp SRK??? Lastly, what is the optimal distance to keep against Dicator?? I keep losing to a couple of good Dicactor players in my arcade.
Just played a bunch of matches against the same Guile. I managed to stay even with him by being really patient and just plain lame. Still any tips would be nice.
Well the safest option against ex Jesus kick when you are blocking is a delayed mp shoryuken. It stops all of his options and if he goes for the lk after it immediately then your mp shoryuken doesn’t come out and you can cr.mk him into tatsu.
I guess it makes sense that you’re not left with much options after a blocked Jesus Kick since they’re spending that bar for the added security. Was playing a Rufus the other day who would keep mashing EX Jesus Kick reversals during my blockstrings and i was having a little trouble punishing it even when it got baited… nothing i could really think of apart from just blocking since it beats out a lot of Ken’s stuff =/
Also if you land a ex tatsu on Rufus and immediatley do cr.lk and he does his ex Jesus kick, the last little bit whiffs and you have time to hp shoryuken him for another safe jump in. If he keeps on reversing through your block strings just stop mid block string and punish him.
One more time SRK, a lil help would be appreciated:

i need some help with my blanka match up. only thing i can seem to punish is the sweep punch with cr.mk-> Tatsu. but what about rainbow ball? and how in the world do stop his ultra bc Ex.SRK doesnt seem to work
Well if he does any version of scissor kick other then the lk version you can hp shoryuken him. He has no good wake up options and loses horribly to option selects. Use an option select mp shoryuken for everything except for backdash and teleport. For backdash and teleport use option select hk or ex tatsu. IMO don’t let Bison knock you down or your going to be in trouble. Though in this matchup st.mp and cr.mp stuff alot of Bison’s pokes.
