It’s one thing to say it’s bullshit. It’s another to say they make laws prohibiting films from coming out when those laws aren’t there. I saw this documentary years ago and I don’t see how it’s germane to the topic at hand.
movie ratings were forced upon the studios. We really don’t need them. Same bullshit as TV ratings. Fuck the FCC, they stomp on your rights
The job of the FCC is to make sure public airwaves are treated the way Americans want them treated, so that is their job. They aren’t stomping on anyone’s rights. You need to find out what a right really is.
Probably because its more realistic. all the scenes we see of the zombies are small clips so stamina is unknown, if there were people infected with something that’s main aim is to spread (which in this case it is) you would most likely have humans behaving like insects using every inch of their body in order to spread the infection.
That’s what I like about this, that its an even more terrifying-realistic version of a zombie apocalypse
That’s a good point because “realistically” speaking, slow, shambling zombies would never reach pandemic proportions, unless every living person on the planet suddenly became full retard. Also, the virus takes too long to spread.
I actually liked 28 Days Later because it was definitely a more believable take on the “zombie/infected” pandemic scenario. Rage virus > standard zombie virus.
However, I’m annoyed they attached World War Z to this movie mainly because it’s a totally different genre of “zombie” flick.
Also, no matter what the movie is called, I still think the visuals of all these super zombies, infected or whatever the hell they are leap frogging over buses and running like Usain Bolt is just stupid looking.
Also, the movie is PG-13. What the fuck.
Have you looked around any time in the last 5 years? We’d be knee-deep in zombies in 6 months with the current population. Too many people not wanting to get involved, or idiots trying to give cpr, and basically, despite seeing CLASSIC zombie behavior, not believing what they’re seeing. 1 man is smart, a crowd = derpitty-doo.
Oh I’m sure initially it will be a great big cluster fuck for the reasons you listed plus I’m sure there will be human rights/religous debates and all that bullshit, but eventually people will wake up and do what needs to be done whether the government decides to act or not. I don’t think the US will be the first to act though, it will probably be one of the countries that don’t really have too many hang ups with violating human rights issues to begin with.
With obesity being a epidemic in America right now Walking dead zombies would be more then enough to do the job, and people are just dumb. So having zombies with Ant like behavior will making the ending or “cure” lackluster. Who on this planet can run from that? But maybe they are only that fast after turning then they progressively slow down.
Makes sense…there would be shamblers (power-walk speed, but none of the coordination, i.e. no straight lines, would fail field sobriety test), then stumblers (slow walk, falls down periodically, but able to get back up), then crawlers (either stomach or hands and knees…they’ve fallen, and they can’t get up). But no way in hell would they be sprinting or even really running. And yes, people would be dumb enough to get attacked by letting them into their homes just because they knew them, zombies would be brought to hospitals and turn them into fucking literal abattoirs, boyfriends (because, well, you know, women ain’t that bright when it comes to men) and family members who turned would fuck up other family members who fall asleep in the same home…oh, the horror.
the govt would quarantine/blow up that shit in time
Nothing like they book huh?

Though that whole issue about the change being due to lack of funds means the likeliness of it being bad has folded :shake:
If everyone is infected so once they die they turn then yeah it would be no problem. If you had to get bit or scratched I could see maybe half the population getting screwed in whatever said area before people wised up.
With that said I’d much rather another 28 movie instead of this.
By the time they notice it would be too widespread. If they accidentally caused it though, yeah, they could lock that shit up cuz they’d know where to look and be out there doing it before even 5 people got nom’ed.
How is what you wrote any different from every other zombie apocalypse story? They always operate in swarms, crawling on top of each other to spread the infection or to just kill the living. Only difference I see in the trailer is the undead defying rigor mortis and working beyond peak athletic performance. And really stupid cg. Which goes back to my post wondering why Pitt has stooped to a crowd-pleasing chase movie, considering he’s mostly stuck to high-brow material. But who knows, this might be Oscar-tier stuff.
There’s different types of zombies no? The zombies in bio hazard seem to be a shell for insects. All I’m saying is these shells may be full of something that wants to spread as fast as possible.
Akin to how certain germs/disease spread rapidly. We have this lock in our logic that holds us back BREAK FREE DAMMIT

That was impossibly fast turn. I can deal with like 30 seconds maybe or whatever it was in 28 days but this? Shit was moving like lightning fast.
Spreading a pandemic infection by a human being running itself into the ground and biting on somebody’s neck is horribly inefficient. All of history’s great plagues spread by air, water, mosquito, rodents shitting in food etc. are laughing at this shit (and Brad Pitt for starring in it!)
Seriously, IF these “zombies” are not even the true undead types and just people with rabies then why— you know what… never mind. :bluu:
Looks like typical tensionless unscary Holywood shit, then again I’m not surprised after reading earlier this year that they threw anything to do with the book out the window aside from the title.
