OFFICIAL World of Warcraft Thread

Lol that was like the worst mage ever, I almost out dueled a lvl 35 mage with my lvl 16 hunter. I had him down to less then 100 health.

If you’re PVE go with the built that lets you dots 20+mobs and make them die.

I grouped with a paladin that tanked the other night in Botanica, I have never had such a nice run. 1 shotted all the bosses, no wipes, simply amazing.

Love your avatar. Bill Hicks it the man.

K, i’m on a pvp server now. Help a cracka out with a build. I want to build this warlock on auto pilot. lol

I don’t have a lock nor have I played one but I have PvPed with a lot of them and let me tell you, simply amazing.

I heard Affliction and Destruction is some of the better pvp specs, something along the lines of 0/21/40 for Destruction and 41/13/0 for Affliction. It’d be worth it to try many specs out to get a feel of how they differ.

Hey, I made on Onyxia. The name is Lilyay. Who gives out the invites?

Lilyay? Lilyayo was taken huh, Sosa?

Quit hitting on my Genocide.

Anyways, Lock levelling. Go DP.

1:DoTs
2:Send Succ
3:Drain Tank

Easy as pie.

Of course it’s not like a Hunter.

1:Send Pet
2:Auto-Shot

Well that’s only for regular mobs, kiting is actually needed for elites your level.

Anyways…anyone know where to get a “FOR THE HORDE” wave or mp3 file?

Everybody keeps saying that. I want something a little more in depth. The talent tree is hella foreign to me cause I’ve never played a character that had mana. lol

I’m gonna take like a half week off from wow to play oblivion for a bit lol.

Seriously, 67-70 is making my head bleed. It’s annoying as fuck for me anyways. Maybe it’s because when the expansion came out, my priest was 58 and I just had a 60 hunter. I’m experiencing leveling burnout. All I’ve been doing is straight up leveling.

And I’ll be playing on Onyxia one of these days. I’ve just been playing alliance WAY too much prior to playing horde and I was also sick of losing BGs, to make the game fresh I decided to play horde. When the new BG system was implemented, I had shit loads of marks that were waisted because I turned it in just before the new BG patch came out. That was the biggest factor in me taking a break from my hunter, I spent like two weeks playing hours a day in pvp. The losing+time waisted.

So I guess this is a fuck you to blizzard for not letting me transfer over my pve server rogue, and not warning us about saving our marks.

edit: ronin, you can use a pve build on a pvp server. Infact, I think you should. You can still fear people and run, plus the fact you’re a lock makes people think twice about attacking you. If you get the first jump, it’s an auto win if your class matches up well against the guy you’re attacking. On my shadow priest, who is essentially poor man’s warlocks, it’s hard for me to get ganked because of my super bubble and fear. Only rogues and hunters who get the first sight give me trouble. You should have an easier time as a lock getting away because of fear/incapacitating options.

Yeah, but does anybody have a link to any builds besides “do 41/344/02” or some shit like that? I’d like to see how the talent tree is built out and adjust my style of play to it. I want something that makes grinding easier, but won’t make it so I’m a gank target whenever anybody sees me.

edit Nevermind. I didn’t realize that Truegamer linked me to some talent calculators. Okay, still, any info people have would be nice.

Is destruction for straight up DPS and affliction for DoT’s? Which is better to make grinding easier? Keep in mind, I am on a pvp server. I don’t want to get fucked in the ass walking around but I still want my grind to be some what easier.

How many soul shards do warlocks usually keep on them in their bags?

i need to be in a srk guild. i’ll make a allience dude. but who do i talk to for the invite.

aiight, so check it. With this build here, I got 7 points left.

Would it be worth it to put a point into amplify curse or is curse of agony something I’ll stop using later on in the game? I’m also looking at maxing out supression for obvious reasons. Is the 5 points worth the 10% reduction in your enemies ability to resist your spells? On paper it seems like a good idea for obvious reasons. From there I was thinking of putting the remaining two points into… something. I don’t know what. lol Maybe into improved shadow bolt. Would that work well, or am I putting points into talents that look great on paper but suck in actual combat?

Also, in terms of gear I keep hearing I should look for some really different shit. What type of gear should I be looking for? Stuff with +stamina and +intellect, right? Crits won’t make a difference on any DoTs from what I hear, but I was wondering if your DoTs could crit off of their application. For instance, immolate does like 20 fire damage when it’s cast, and then does more damage over time. can you build up your intellect so the application of the DoT would crit? Like say instead of doing 20 fire damage initially it could do like 35 or 40? Or do those things not go hand in hand?

Go horde man! l to p!

Amplify Curse is pretty much only used for opening Exhaustion. It does have it’s uses getting the 50% slow for kiting, or runners when you need that extra kick from CoA, I guess.

10% resist? Yeah it’s worth it if you’ll mostly be grinding/PvE shit. Doesn’t hurt for PvP either on circumstances.

Basic gear for Locks? +Dmg/Stam is mostly what you want. Int is always good. Spirit is pretty useless.

And if you’re asking if the initial damage of Immolate can crit, then yes.

Example;

Immo hits for 20. Does 100 damage over 10 seconds.
Immo crits for 40. Does 100 damage over 10 seconds.

If that is what you meant?

Kinda not all here, so I’m sure I’m vague as fuck. Haha.

well i’m working on a horde druid right now. i guess i’ll keep it going.

i wish icould play. My video card crapped out, so did my power supply, and dell is gay, so therefore, you can’t stick a new powersupply in their case, and their case has special pcb which the power button connects to it…

Basically, unless i really wanna take massive time to modify the metal in it’s case, or figure out the wiring, i’m fucked.

Warlock, who are you on Blackwing?

I want to play WoW, but although I know that I want to play Horde, I’m not sure which race I’d like to pick. Which is the most popular (as that’s likely a race I’d like to avoid)?
