Yeah saw that. Thank god. Hope they bring it back to all of their sticks. I can understand they probably had significant cost savings with the current version though.
It wasn’t about cost savings. People complained about that plexi too. They were trying to make people happy.
How so? What complaints did people have before??
Would be nice if they made the plexi and the metal plates holes normal size, would fix a lot of the issues, who cares about being able to remove the plexi without removing the buttons if you’re still going to have to remove 6 hex screws to take off the bezel which 2 are a little annoying to get at.
Thought I’d go ahead and pitch in about the Gamerfingers on Tek-Innovation plexi. I tried putting them in without the clear spacer rings and they sit just fine. They spin, but not without a bit of force. Perhaps it depends on how well the gripping tabs under the rim have been worn down? Since my Gamerfingers are almost fresh, their tabs are probably in better condition, so they hold the plexi better. Just my input on the issue.
Its why I prefer screw-in buttons
That chun li te2 ain’t so bad replace the buttons with all white ones I’ll probably buy it will be my 3rd te2 but it’ll look good I hope the box looks as nice as the chun li te 1
Agreed on the buttons, although it would be nice to incorporate yellow somehow. Don’t like the current design so much
We can’t change where the stick controls are the color of it so gotta stick with white otherwise it’ll look awkward maybe the bezel but that’s really it tbh

So I was messing around changing the panels on my TE2’s and I came across something interesting in regards to the smoke panels. Basically, there are different tints.
Left is from my XRD and right is from my Killer Instinct stick. I also picked up a spare set from the mad catz booth at EVO and it matches the lighter Killer Instinct one.

I was wondering why they released a black side panel because I thought the smoke was “close enough” but now it all makes sense. So just a heads up, if you want a really dark panel, the smoke they are offering might not be dark enough and black would be your best bet.

I am sure it be harder to tell the difference once the panels are installed.
@MarkMan was telling me at Evo that the first plexi’s got complaints because they didn’t sit on the panel so they gave when you pressed them. The new panels sit on the panel but can move all around.
Impossible to satisfy everyone lol. I always feel bad for companies that listen so closely to their fans. Good on them, but what a can of worms…
Or they can do it the proper way from the start like tek-innovations plexi’s and standard 30mm holes in the metal panel…
Will madcatz send us a replacement plexi? And how would I do that?

They kinda failed but they did try. I’m kinda glad though tbh. I like Art and I’m sure that was a little spike in his business. Motivation to stick around longer hopefully. I’ve been tempted to stock up on plexi from him just for fear that he won’t be there one day.
does anyone have or know where I can find a labeled diagram or pin out of the rivals ps4 te2 PCB? I suppose any ps4 te2 PCB would be the same. I cannot find one anywhere, not even here. I am without a multimeter, and can figure out the regular button pins easily enough, but don’t know which of the two pins is ground
