Official USFIV/GGXrd/P4U TE2 Thread

should have some of these:

Also, it looks like the Type-N Plate was released (must’ve been quietly) as can now order it from US store:

However seeing that the TE2 isn’t available in europe it seems neither are the parts on the EU/UK stores. The US Site doesn’t ship to the UK.

Does anyone know anywhere else selling it? Doesn’t even seem to be on the Japanese MCZ site yet either (not sure if they ship internationally or not)

They sold out on the US site already even the replacement panels.

Looks like I have to spraypaint mine

You guys were right, there were indeed tiny rings on the buttons I removed and that fixed my button plug issue. Thanks! The controller still feels flimsy compared to every other stick I have ever purchased from Madcatz. The plastic moves and clicks when I apply pressure to the stick’s face and sides.
Is this how they all are? Does not feel very solid.

I just bought the Type-N panel. Although I appreciate this choice, I would really like to see an MK panel for the TE2 like they did for the TE. You would think that MKX coming out would warrant sufficient demand for this, right?

Yes it’s a lot less solid than the TE1.

Can’t decide if I should sell it and go with a Hori PS4 stick. I guess I will playtest it when Ultra comes out next week.

It’s not that the TE2 isn’t solid. It’s that the top panel on the TE2 isn’t bolted in like the TE so it has a slight amount of give in the bottom two corners which allows for the slight creaking when you press down there. It’s the price you pay for having easy access to mod and not having a flimsy chord door.

I really don’t think that is a trade off that should be necessary.

The HRAP4/V doesn’t feel any more sturdy than the TE2. None of the PS4 sticks compare to the VS and TE1. Even the VLX sounds a little hollow and feels a little bouncy compared to my VS.

Hopefully madcatz bring back those form factors.

Regardless, just play with the TE2 for a while and you’ll get used to it and be fine.

Seriously?

Nothing wrong with hollow sounding, but creaky isn’t nice at all. Even the real Vewlix cabs have the same hollow sound and bouncy as the VLX.
Fightstick Pro was pretty solid too, just a bit on the small and light side in my opinion.

I loved my VLX for 360 but my favorite stick was a Brawl Stick that I modded. The size was perfect and it felt nice and solid. Especially when I stripped the sticker off the face and just had the exposed metal.

The TE2 is just a different stick. It shouldn’t be compared to other ones as they are different designs. That being said, we are looking at bringing back the TE (original) and VS in the future. We’ll see how it goes.

That would be a godsend if that ever happens. I’d buy two immediately.

Hey, @MarkMan, are there any plans to support the TE2 with more accessories? With the release and success of MKX, I would really like an MK panel for the TE2 like the TE had. I value proper controls.

OG TE release for next gen would be the best thing ever. You never mess with a good thing.

It seems that the easy remove screws are not so easy to remove…Tips?

FYI - The official MadCatz TE2 LED PCBs are back in stock if anyone is interested.

My USFIV TE2 with LED PCB mod by MadCatz, Plexi by Art’s Hobbies, Royal Blue Accessories by Focus Attack, Custom Springs and Silent Button Pads by Paradise Arcade Shop

Looks great dude!

Might pick up the LED PCB once I buy transparent rims… maybe… for now I’ll stick with my black/red sanwa buttons/translusent red balltop I ordered from FA.

Currently waiting on my plexi and TE2 which should be coming in tommorow; looking forward to that.

Picked up the smoke sidepanels that finally stocked back up only 8 left on the canadian site; should grab it before it’s gone!
