I’d be very tempted by the LED board, but as I’m planning on getting the Type-N plate it’d be a bit of a waste, will have to stick with the Kaimana option xD
yeah they should, because outside of the SE washer issue (which IMHO is a great or even better alternative to the JLF stock for stock in terms of feel), in terms of case build quality everything has been top notch. If I’m paying a premium above what I paid for the previous generation, I’m gonna expect premium build quality, as you yourself set the bar higher as a love letter to us the community and made the stick market as a whole much more interesting. With that aside, can we get more layouts? I need to retire my T5 hrap because that happened to be the greatest layout of all time

The pic you posted are all the same layout, only difference is what buttons are normally used, they aren’t going to release the same layouts with fewer/changed holes. Just buy button plugs for that.
They are only selling the Noir layout because it’s different and a lot of people like it over the Vewlix even though they are both 8 buttons.
It ain’t the same as the noir layout because playing with the outer six I don’t even have to move my hand to press L1 or L2. Much more comfy and my hands are a bit further apart so no knock. No more getting EX moves when you want ultra. IDGAF if it’s scrubby, I live in buttfuck nowhere with no arcades so I don’t really have to get used to pressing all three punches or kicks when i can move my index or thumb a whole quarter inch. I’d rather rely on my index/thumb over my pinky. Major difference in dexterity, and my pinky can rest without fear of activating anything, and chances of RMI drop.
and as for the pic that’s how i like to assign my buttons. I literally don’t have to move my hand at all unless I’m trying to do some slide motion, but I usually piano my hands/elec/whatever so it’s a moot point for me.
Never said it was the same as the Noir layout, I said they are offering a different layout because Noir is different than the Vewlix and some prefer it, and Mad Catz won’t release the same layouts with different holes, hence why button plugs exist.

Well I missed out on my Type-N Panel, didn’t manage to sort out someone in the US to ship to to ship it on to the UK in time and now its sold out --’ Mad Catz have said it’ll not be in stock again for a month or two ><

Dealing with madcatz’s website has been nothing but frustrating.

I originally posted on May 13 and all I get back in the comments is "The TE2 is just a different stick. It shouldn’t be compared to other ones as they are different designs. That being said, we are looking at bringing back the TE (original) and VS in the future. We’ll see how it goes. :)"
The happy face doesn’t make me less upset. I have spent too much money on Madcatz sticks in the past to be cool with my newest one being less than when it comes to quality.
Yeah, same thing when I asked about an MK panel for the TE2. No response. Mad Catz sticks being more friendly towards customization is really the one area that they beat HORI. It’s like they don’t like money or something.

I can understand your frusturation but to be honest it’s MadCatz… you’ve spent good money on them and they carry short stock of TE2’s and hype it up and sell them fast and have things like friday only shipping to canadians etc there’s tons of flaws.
Is it possible for the TE2 to have an entire metal build? Yeah, but I don’t know why MadCatz didn’t do that probably because shorter costs.
If you want a good case you should go for hori, they are doing a good job and there’s tons of stock on them especially you can import it and it’ll be still cheaper than buying an TE2 that’s out of stock…
My only problem with the TE2 is the absolute garbage plexi that they included; thank god tek innovation’s got me covered on that; ever since I bought the plexi I’ve been happy ever since.
The real pros of the TE2 is how easy it is to customize oh also the fact modding it with multiple PCBs sound like it’s the easiest out of other fightsticks… but I don’t need that since I can just use my Cronusmax hiding inside my TE2 for the xbone.
So im planing to dual mod my stick for ps4 i know i need the crossbone. Real question is i want the best i hear the ps360 still needs to be signed in or what ever still? So should i go with a fighting commnder 4 instead or will i have issues with that too. Thanks not really caring about 360 or ps3 compatibility

ok so the guy i know says he can’t do a switch mod for the te 2 like gunmo can because of the cross bone? i really dont like this whole hold this button or that button i just wanna flip a switch

You will need the TE2 crossbone, I haven’t dug into it enough to know how switching works with it. Holding a button while plugging in isn’t that big of a burden IMO.
