The stick feels like it is sticking between neutral and hitting a direction. Its like the black thing on the shaft is sticking to the metal ring. Don’t know if I’m imagining it.
^ thats the acutator i’d take off the e clip see if everythings good. i will say with the stock jlf spring and acutator there is a huge deadzone before you hit any of the switches. i’m going to be getting my hori haybusa is there anything i should know before i take out the jlf
I just received it, my fight stick TE2, however, it has a very hollow feel to it. When I’m pressing buttons it has a empty echo within it. The stick itself is beautiful the size, and everything else seems to be perfect. Is anyone else experiencing the same flaw? What I’m thinking about doing is making a new higher quality grade pLexi button cut out and installing that and take out the original. Does anyone think this will work?
Any tips or advice i should know before putting in this hori hayabusa. any tips getting off the white connector thing to sanwa i don’t wanna ruin anything mk x is around the corner!
That’s sort of true. The rainbow effect is caused by thin film interference. There is a material between the plexi and the art that is thin enough to cause this. I could be water / oil / or even air between two layers of plastic. This only happens with thin layers. Increase the space between the art and the plexi and you won’t have an issue. Add a thin < 1mm washer between the plexi and the art should solve the issue and not be noticeable.
Wow actually got to use my physics minor for something…that’s rare.
Real talk, I’ve had a squeak issue when I tap left on my stick since I got it, so I’ve barely used the thing and went back to my Atrox and just gave up on Xrd because of the dead community in the EU. But MKX is out soon and I want this fucking issue to stop. I originally took it apart piece by piece, checked for the squeak - it was a microswitch clear as day. Cleaned it out, got rid of any trapped dirt and whatnot, didn’t work. Thought “Easy way out, new microswitches, they’re cheap” brought a new set of microswitches and installed them. Squeaking again, clean those out, still have a squeak. What the literal fuck is the problem with these things??

Is not an unoiled stick, is the second pair of microswitches, how the fuck have I gotten my hands on two damn faulty microswitches? And how do I even go about stopping this, grease, intense cleaning, ANOTHER fucking set of switches?
Hi guys, looking for some help if possible. Just recently got my first stick, the TE2 for the PS4. It disconnects frequently, sometimes multiple times in a minute, sometimes once every 5 minutes or so. It will always reconnect once I hit the playstation button. Any ideas on what’s wrong? I submitted a ticket to Mad Catz but would love if it was just something loose that I could fix without sending it in.
Probably nothing you can do without voiding the warranty. Either a bad USB cable, bad connection to the PCB or bad PCB. Either way you probably want MadCatz to take care of it.
