Thats why I splashed out and got the GG:Xrd stick, fuck the blue sides, blue is such a shit colour!
The shoulder straps would be good, especially if those make it to the UK (which could be unlikely as the sticks haven’t yet) but its mostly the NOIR plate I’m excited for, thats when my modding will begin. Oh and a MadCatz bag that fits the TE2 in would be nice…
man am pissed i got my t.e.2 a few days ago and i just noticed it doesn’t close all the way wtf 200 bucks, it kinda stays open and the left side but is does snap shut but the left side has an opening. is anyone else having smiler problems any advice will be appreciated
Out of curiosity does anyone know what is causing the ‘rainbow’ effect? I noticed it on a friends new TE2 arcade stick and I assumed it just needed cleaning, but after a thorough scrub with cotton wool + iso alcohol it was still there.
I think they are caused by the plexi not fully making contact with the laminate. My plexi is scratched all over but they always seem to appear in the same spots, bottom and left. The more you try and fix it the worse it gets
yeah I’m kinda pissed that I got my TE:2 and now before SF has even come out on ps4 they show the new sexy TE2 that is white with ken and ryu. Why don’t they just release USF4 already. Or at least tell us when it’s coming out. They said spring I believe and it is spring now.
Man, I guess its just something to accept with the TE2 right now . Maybe trying different artwork with different material/laminate might make a difference? Mine’s coming next month and I guess I’ll have to deal with it as well.
I’m just glad I have the Kai here as my primary everyday stick.
The rainbow effect is caused by moisture that gets trapped between the plexi and art/metal panel. Because the TE2 was designed for easy art swap, the buttons do not hold the plexi down. The surrounding bezel is the only thing holding the plexi down. However, it does not hold it down well enough that moisture get trapped in the air pockets. This is also why the top panel feels “flexible”. Remove both problems by replacing the plexi with one that uses the buttons to also hold it in place.
