So apparently Mad Catz will just close your ticket if they don’t get around to helping you in a reasonable amount of time. WTF ?!!?!?!?
I put in the following ticket on December 31st.
Hi, I just recently purchased a
Mad Catz® Ultra Street Fighter® IV Arcade FightStick™ Tournament Edition 2 for PS4™ & PS3™
and after just a few uses I noticed that there were odd looking scuffs on my stick. After trying to wipe the surface of the plexi with a microfiber cloth to no avail I took the bezel and plexi off. I discovered that the scuffs were actually on the underside of the plexi and they had also scuffed the the artwork some how and I could not wipe the art or the plexi clean. Is there any way I can get these two pieces place of my stick replaced? is there any way to prevent and/or fix this?
On January 12th the posted this and then closed my ticket.

How is the in any way even approaching good customer service? It doesn’t appear to be an automated message and I would assume that the person who posted this in my ticket read my issue and noticed that I had not been helped yet so why the heck would they think its ok to just close my ticket and force me to call again and open another ticket.
I am really furious right now so I am not going to call them again until I calm down but I wanted to show this to everyone for two reason, 1. has anyone had this happen? and 2. Just an FYI this could happen to you.
Yeah when I called a few weeks back because the credit card payment wasn’t working they told me to send in a ticket etc and I sent 2 and both were closed with the same or similar emails and weren’t answered(used a different card and it worked so not a big deal to me but yeah)
@Pskelly @Tensho I had to re-open a ticket with them a while back for an issue with my KI harness. i didn’t realize they had QDs soooo i ripped a cable =( maybe their system is just screwing up or something.
With brighter news about the scratched artwork: I replied back when they said all they could send was the plexi, and i said i didn’t mind waiting but that the artwork was really what was important to me. Got a reply recently saying that after the next batch goes out they would be able to send me replacement artwork!!!
It’s impossible to find TE2 here in Australia, so I bought it from Akishop from Japan.
It is a GGXrd version, I did artwork customization, but now I want to install LED buttons.
Do any of you guys tried LED buttons on a TE2? What buttons/board/wires should I buy? I can’t find a tutorial for this.
Here goes my artwork inspired by the 80’s movie The Last Dragon
Got my replacement plexi from Mad Catz, it’s the thick 1/16" plexi not the floppy thin 1/32" that comes with the newer TE2’s, will see how it goes
Around the edges of the plexi are skinnier though like 1/32" around it where it will be under the bezel.
Edit: applied it and it’s prefect, it should of came with this type of plexi from the start, perfect under the bezel and size difference of the plexi makes it perfectly flush with the bezel(like .2mm lower than the bezel)
I was under the impression it was confirmed to be not common ground. That’s why I asked about using the JLF cable for Toodles’ SOCD cleaner. Anyone here know if that’ll work?
Wow… not sure why MadCatz are making all these mod unfriendly pcb’s when other companies are making them common ground. I just hope it’s not part of a trend…
I haven’t heard anything definitive about the PS4 TE2 being common ground or not. Multiple people I’ve talked with seem to think that it is after examining the PCB.
That’s the old bezel from the KI TE2. It was changed because some buyers reported that it was prone to flexing, and that the buttons didn’t line up perfectly.
I believe the KI TE2’s PCB was that way because Microsoft mandated it.
