Official USFIV/GGXrd/P4U TE2 Thread

Sorry guys. The demand and traffic made it hard to check out on the website. I’m going to talk to whomever I need to… so please expect more Guilty Gear (maybe a new design/same body/case) in the near future.

Cheers.

I feel you on that. I opened up 3 pages and all run checkouts on them. Called it a day and went to get lunch. Came back and got the order received email. Just dumb luck to get it.

I’m with you dude. Didn’t expect the first batch to sell out so fast, so my fault for waiting to order that.
Thought for sure I was going to get it this time, made sure to get on as soon as they went up and got the errors. Sucks.

I appreciate having @Markman around. He really does everything in his power to address our concerns. I’m as anxious and disappointed as everyone else who couldn’t get one but it’s good to know that we can hold out longer for another opportunity to purchase one without an over-inflated price…and prospect of another/new design seems like an incentive to wait.

I was really surprised to get an email saying my order went through considering I ordered on my iPhone.

My buddy got his order email a couple hours after the fact, so there’s still hope.

For the people replacing the art on the Xrd sticks are you removing the Xrd art or just putting your new image on top of it?

Has anyone with damaged art heard back from Madcatz in regards to the tickets that where submitted? I put mine in on 12/31 (#159565). I feel as though they might be trying to figure out what to do as a company in response to this so we all don’t get slightly different resolutions. It is a little disappointing that its been six business days without even a “Hey we are working on it”…

Does anyone know the average processing time on orders from the madcatz store? It’s been a minute since I’ve ordered anything from their webstore. Managed to luck out and my order went through for the Xrd TE2

Due to the high volume of orders yesterday Id say we are in for a 1-3 day processing time before actual shipment.

I missed out, said there were no shipping methods available (after finally getting an American address I could use 1 minute before they went online!)

@MarkMan‌ Several questions:-
[] Will there be a stick with the Type N plate as standard? Or is it just going to be a purely stand alone product?
[
] Any idea when the different coloured side panels for the TE2 will be available? The main reason I want the Xrd stick is the black sides!

If you do make a Type N plate stick, can it have black sides? (In which case I might wait for that one!)
To everyone else, found this one on ebay, including shipping its only about 20 bucks more than I was expecting to pay for the stick and ship it from US to UK - do we think its legit? Bugs me that it doesn’t say Mad Catz anywhere on the listing =/

Yeah I got an email for the plexi they are shipping me
"Greetings from Mad Catz –

This is an update to inform you that we have received your part request and will be processing it shortly. The part will be shipped to you by way of US Postal Service, Fed Ex or Purolator.

While there is no tracking number with USPS, it usually takes 7 to 10 business days to receive your part once it ships. If your part ships with Fed Ex or Purolator, we will add the tracking number to your ticket. Parts shipped to Canada, ship out of our warehouse every Friday. To track packages sent with Fed Ex or Purolator, go to one of the following sites,"

That is cool. So they are sending you a new plexi but not new art I would assume. Are there high resolution images on the net of the different TE2 Artwork? How long from the time you submitted your ticket to their first response take?

Just to answer that one: no, unless someone scans theirs (which will result in loss of quality), you won’t find official PSDs of any of the official art overlays for any retail stick.

Around 5 days, they said they had no artwork so only the plexi. I was going to try and scan my artwork to make a 6 button template but my scanner isn’t big enough(and probably crap quality)

Quick question on the Xrd stick, does the plastic body have a rougher and more textured design? It looks a little different from the other TE2’s in the official pictures but that could just be lighting. (I know that the balltop, artwork and side panels are different obviously)

i don’t know about the other TE2’s but my Xrd stick has more texture than my Fightstick Pro(The bezel and side panels are smooth)

Loss of quality? I don’t understand.

I’ve barely touched mine, so I may be able to scan it at the local Fedex-Kinkos and post the raw image here. Any special instructions if I do this? Anything to look out for? Oh, and what would be the best scanner model/maker to use? I’m sad to say I’m rather clueless here.

Well when they make artwork they always want 300 dpi for the best detail, so if a scanner can scan 300 dpi I guess that would be fine or the highest possible then resize to the template size after?

Regardless of how well you scan it, you’re not getting the same clear-cut quality as if you had the original PSD. It might be close, don’t get me wrong; it might be “good enough” to be acceptable, but you will lose some of the clarity in the process, when you compare it to the original (probably vector-based) file.
