@Tensho I can see how a different plexi cut might help, but only if it were better constrained by the buttons. (At least in my case.)
Good to know there might be an option from Arts Hobbies as well if all else fails.
Submitted my own ticket and forwarded the number to MarkMan.
Hopefully everything can get straightened out, cause it’s definitely a very solid and accessible stick.
Also on a similar note, has anyone noticed any scratches or bubbles on the bottom foam?
The scratches don’t really impact performance, and I was able to smooth out the air bubbles well enough, so I’m mostly just curious.
They were there when I first received it. Some are long enough that it seems like it might have been caused when it was first cut as opposed to movement or packing.
@Sigmae Yeah, well Rhombustible said he’s using his Tek-innovation(Art) plexi with his stick so the current ones he sells might be fine, I’ll wait for an answer from Art to see what he says and also if Rhombustible can post pics to see how flush it is with a thicker plexi.
Just got mine in and I don’t see anything wrong with the plexi or artwork. Yeah the plexi does shift maybe just a millimetre or less but that’s to be expected from the easy art swap-ability. The only gripe I have is the left side panel, some parts of the edge are not smoothly cut but it doesn’t really bother me. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v105/syn13/2015-01-04032312.jpg
Probably not gonna do much to the artwork until the TYPE-N top panel replacement comes out in a month or two, the simplicity of the stock GGXrd TE2 artwork is growing on me and I might just take the original design and adjust it for the Noir layout. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v105/syn13/madcatzte2ggmc7.jpg
Anyone have a 300dpi scan of the XRD artwork? I would try and scan mine but I don’t think my scanner is good enough plus my artwork is a little scuffed up so it might need a lot of work to look perfect
Yeah that seems normal, mine shifts around 1 cm on the left and a few mm on the right, definitely not normal.
@Tensho Yep, USF4 PS4/3 stick using the Plexi from KI that I purchased from Art a little while back. Perfectly stationary, none of the shifting that the stock plexi had. I did notice some off centering with this plexi on, but I’m pretty sure that’s due to my artwork being off center. button holes were lined up.
@rhombustible that looks good, you’re not using those clear button spacers I’m guessing and using stock snap-in buttons and it fits fine and snug and the buttons don’t spin?
^ You lucky dog you. I know you’re tired of playing on pad like you have been the last X weeks. Not only do you get to review it and tinker, you get to play with it too! Have fun.
it feels good. no spacers, the buttons sit flush on the plexi. oddly enough, one button spins if you put some force on it. Cracked one of the buttons trying to remove it and had an old button laying around that fit. hardly noticeable unless you’ve got the case popped open and are trying to spin it from the other side. ill upload with some more photos once i get my additional panel from Art, just in case anything changes.
The warranty sticker on my Fightstick Pro was doubled too, probably just a mistake at the factory(or opened and used to smuggle drugs by a drug lord then closed back up and sent back to Mad Catz to be resold)
Just start peeling carefully to solve the mystery of what’s underneath. Is there a default TE2 Sticker that’s replaced by the ARC SYSTEM WORKS version of the sticker? Another Serial # for twice the warranty?
