The TEasy Strike will work on all round 1/2 sticks, so yes it will work beautifully with the original TE’s. Just make sure that the PCB inside of that original TE is not the one I talk about in the OP.
Glad to hear it! I’ve subsequently updated the OP to include firmware updates as one of the first things to try >.<
I just got word today that the new batch will be ready for pickup this Friday. So I’ll be picking them up, giving them a once over and if they look good I’ll put up the order option on my site. I’ll finish the assembly on a whole bunch of them and all orders will ship Sunday or Monday at the latest.
Thank you for the kind words, and sorry for the confusion, the SSF4 sticks, also known as the TE-S sticks are only compatible with TEasy Strike S boards (those are the sticks with the flat sides, not the beveled ones).
Round 1 or round 2 sticks are SF4 sticks (ones with beveled sides), I’ll try and update the OP and my site to make things a little easier to distinguish (like links to pictures of the ACTUAL stick they work on :p). In your case, you will want a TEasy Strike, which I should have available this weekend
Also, some big stuff is coming. My site will be updated heavily this weekend to accommodate for people who have had interest in RGB LED awesomeness. Stay tuned for announcements
edit:
Coming end of this month or in May I’ll have something else for fans of Phreak Mods. I’m going an entirely different direction for my new project and I think many of you guys are going to love it.
I’ll be home later today and will update the site for the ribbon cables and other pages as well.
Also will start on assembly as well, my helper should be home from work in a few hours. I’m curious how long they’ll take to assemble now that I don’t have to solder each board
Ordered mine friday, and can’t wait to receive it. A lot of my friends have mvc3 and street fighter on the ps3, and i haven’t really been able to play well with them all that much. Hopefully that will change in the coming week. :bgrin:
hey guys, so im gonna go buy one of these lil suckers. just wondering how long does shipping usually take? and so if i buy a kit, itll have everything that i would need right? no any other extra stuff i should buy?
It came within a week of me ordering when I got mine and included everything I needed to set it up. You’ll just need your own screw driver and something to cut the wires with.
Yeah, first class shipping says 3-6 days from when it’s put in the mailbox, but it usually gets there on the 3 day side of things. And yes, you will need a screw drivers and pair of wire cutters/flush cutters. I HIGHLY recommend grabbing a decent pair of flush cutters from a local hardware store for like 5 bucks. You’ll want them for part of the install that recommends clipping the leads of the TE PCB.
On that same note, I spent all weekend putting stuff together and prepping for orders. I’ve got the mountain of boxes in my car and they will be dropped off today after I get back from checking out the prototype of the next project . US residents can expect their packages end of the week.
I’m also throwing in an extra corner clip in each package in case the user breaks one while doing the install. The clips are awesome, but can get a bit fragile if opened and closed a bunch of times so in case you break one you’ll now have a backup.
Also, the amount of orders this weekend was amazing, thank you all for the support. It’s immensely appreciated and makes me want to continue makings new things for this community.
Not to be pole-ridin or nothin, but when you offer something that basically everyone serious about fighting games needs, with install difficulty that requires the minimum intelligence of a potato, you’re gonna be rolling in requests, lol.
naw thank you for making such a great product that will help and make it easy on people who wants to dual mod there stick. i just cant stand playing on the pad
next question is performance? hows the response? no input lag? also, i followed your YT vids and it seems pretty easy, but lets do say i messed up, is there a way to reconnect the now cut off USB cable abck to the 360 pcb? but yeah, this device makes other modding option look prehistoric. also, i know you’re really busy but are you gonna upload a instruction vid for the dualstriek firmware? pretty much the post installation section on your guide.
Hey Phreakazoid - my TSEasy Strike arrived today, but I’m having some issues with the installation, and I’m hoping somebody here can give me some ideas as to where to start looking.
Basically, it seems as though the strike part is working fine (detects in windows when HK is held while booting, and all inputs are working correctly), but no dice with the 360, or booting up holding MP. I have tried both on the PC and connecting to the 360 and it just won’t recognize it at all.
Any ideas? I would guess that it might be that the PCB is not connecting properly to the dual strike board, but I did spend quite some time checking it over, and I’m fairly confident that this is not the case - I have updated to 3.20 firmware, but that doesn’t seem to have helped at all
Other than that, just wanted to add my voice to the folks thanking you for a great product (with really good service and really quick shipping to boot). I’m pretty certain that my bad luck with this is due to a complete incompetence on my part to do anything “hardware” related, but I’m hoping that I’ll be able to sort it out eventually, with the help of the fine folk in this thread.
EDIT : just to add, when I plug into the 360, all four guide button positions light up, so there’s definitely power, but nothing else responds at all.
question? why do you have a dual strike board when you have a Teasy “Strike”? or did u meant that? cuz itsnt a TeasyStrike a combination of the old teasy+dual strike board?
