made an order late last night after verifying pcb revision. can’t wait to get it!
Just ordered mine! I can’t wait to get it!
I just finished installing my TEasy Strike, and everything appears to be working fine (360 mode, HID mode, ps3, etc…).
However, I skipped the step where you trim the through hole leads, step 12.
Will this cause trouble for me in the future? I do not currently have access to tools that will let me complete the step, but I suppose I could open it up again in a month or two, or maybe even buy the tool tomorrow if it’s a big deal that I did not complete the step properly.
Thanks!
you got good memory LOL, thank you sir!
The PCB prep portion (step 12) is for ease of installation for the most part, it alleviates some minuscule height issues during install. It will work just fine without the prep, but I’ve found it to be 10 times easier and more cooperative if you prep the pins. If you feel so inclined to do so, just go buy a cheap set of flush cutters or diagonal cutters, clip the leads, and re-install the board. It won’t function any differently though but as a peace of mind thing I would do it myself.
I don’t get many orders from addresses like that, so they tend to stick out in memory
Phreak I just got an email that the e-check finally went through!
Sounds good, I’ve gotta build a few boards today and pack them up. Yours will be in that pile and in the mail tomorrow. Should be to you in time for MvC’s launch.
Yes I did, however I can populate a TEasy Strike without active components to have the original TEasy Mod option for other things than a straight up dual mod. It’s half of the reason I kept the TEasy Strike’s end header the identical pinout of the original.
Thats a quick to answer even though I deleted my post rather quick too. xD Thanks.
Bought.
Alright, I guess as long as it works well I will hold that off until I can get access to some decent tools. I just didn’t want to pay $20 for some tool that kinda works but isn’t really designed for the job.
Thanks again.
Just arrived! Will attempt the installation as soon as I get home from work
Hey, a quick question that I can’t find an answer to.
That USB punch terminal thing, are there any issues if you need to remove the cable at a later date? Like, does it leave any debris inside and prevent you from putting another cable in?
Yeah, probably a noob question, but I don’t quite “get” how it works without the possibility of leaving some tiny bits of crap in there should you take the cable out again.
No, no issues whatsoever. It bites into the wire by cutting into the insulation on the sides of it, the ‘blade’ looks like a small tuning fork or something. It simply removes the insulation in the cross section of the cut, so if you take the wire out you can see where it bit into it but the rest of the insulation is still on the wire. Maybe later I’ll take a picture of a cable that’s been punched in, then removed.
Thanks for the quick answer Phreakazoid.
I am so hype for the TEasy Strike xx Sparky PWM xx ArcEye2 DHC XFC Seimitsu Buttons that my stick will be getting when this stuff is all available
I’m a person who’s all thumbs (not in a good way), on a scale of 1-10 (one being the hardest), how easy is this mod?
that is a very interesting scale. i will look at your scale and change the resolve to ‘on a scale of 1 - 10 (one being don’t buy, ten being buy it now)’
this product is a 10+1
This is honestly probably the easiest dual mod out there.
Unless you buy a mayflash and use it stock
A buddy wanted me to Tri-Mod his MvC stick, I decided to use this opportunity to show off the use of the break out header for this type of extension:

Pretty quick and clean for a tri-mod
