Official TEasy Thread: TEasy Strike is here!

solder-less LED mods… sounds sweet purplearms!

Will the LED mod require any modification to the buttons (drilling, cutting, etc.)? Or will they just slip right in?

Some drilling will be required with a 1/16" bit, but that will be made as easy as possible with a drill template. This will be demonstrated in the third video of the series.

ARrrgh… i fucked up the 2nd video and now i dont have another fresh TE stick to shoot a video with…
As I was filming, the camera tilted out of place, and I did not realize it until I had completed the mod.

Is anyone in the Greater Toronto Area interested in buying a Teasy Strike, has a virgin unmodded 360 TE stick, and is willing to lend to me for filming? I will install the TeasyStrike for you in exchange and you will save on shipping =D

Good stuff, thank you for the feedback it’s appreciated

Tell your friends!

so i just got my TEasy Strike S today, and i wanted to double check before i did anything drastic. I still need to cut the USB and plug it into the Teasy strike board right?

Yeah, You do. I just got mine in today and it works like a charm.

Now I feel like a virginity thief running around for all the TEs I’ve popped open.

hey guys quick question:

I have a PS3 TE Round2. If I get a TEasy Strike mod, do I need to buy a separate xbox 360 controller, or will the TEasy automatically recognize which system it’s plugged into?

Also since xbox TE’s have a mic slot, can the ps3 te get the mic slot open so i can use it for xbox as well?

Thanks

the teasy is to add ps3 compatibility to an xbox 360 TE stick. so since you have a ps3 te stick, this will not help you. what you want to do is probably dual mod it with a common ground madcatz 4716 pad (i have one for sale in trading outlet) or ditch the whole pcb itself and get maybe an akishop ps360 pcb.

and for the mic slot, no.

oh ok, so lets say if i had an xbox te, and got TEasy, would I need to buy a ps3 pad, or will TEasy just automatically recognize the system its on?

Yes, it would. All you need is an Xbox 360 TE stick and the TEasy Strike. Or at least that’s the way I understood it, I’m still waiting for USPS to deliver it.

That’s correct, if you have a 360 TE you ONLY need to purchase a TEasy Strike as it acts as not only the solderless connection but also the PS3 controller portion of the dual mod. Once installed, the detection of the system is automatic thanks to the awesome firmware done by Mephisto

Sweet im gonna get my hands on one of these when I get my xbox stick!

Thanks

I just ordered the teasy strike but I had to use an E-check since my debit card hasn’t arrived yet. How long does it take to get it shipped? Basically will I get it in time for marvel? Thanks and looking forward to getting it!

I ordered mine on Wednesday last week, it was in the mail on Thursday and arrived today! So it shouldn’t take you long to get it, as long as he has a few in stock, which I think he does.

USPS Priority is rather fast, they say 3-6 days but it’s usually 3 for the most part. The only thing that will hinder it is the fact you had to use an E-Check :/, paypal takes like 3 days to process them.

Yes, I’ve got some in stock. Going to build more soon here with the parts I’ve currently got as well. I won’t be able to do “the big build” of the rest of the ones I have until I get my shipment from china and my little brother gets a free day on the weekend to help.

I’ll take a picture when that happens, that’s like an all day affair for 3 people

Got my TEasy Strike in the post today and just finished installing it. Haven’t had a chance to test t on a ps3 yet but works on my 360.

Was really easy to install! The only thing I found difficult was getting the glue off the bloody ribbon cables lol

Thanks to everyone involved in this product. It’s Awesome!

Hi! did you manage to ship those orders yet? Or still heavy snowstorming?

Awesome, glad to hear. Thank you for the feedback! Yeah though, that glue is always a big pain in the ass

Ahhh, I remember the order going to Hungary. Yeah yours was in the mail last Thursday, USPS estimates 6-10 days so it might get to you late this week but more likely early-mid next week.
