Official TEasy Thread: TEasy Strike is here!

Yes - part of the TEasy Strike, but not the cheaper TEasy Mod option.

Isn’t it… wonderful…

Installed the TEasy Strike over the weekend on my R1 TE. The only hard part was aligning the TE pcb to the pins on the TEasy, but otherwise it took me less than an hour and works flawlessly.

Best thing since pimento cheese.

Yup, all in 1 + some extra this time around. Makes things clean, easy, and quick.

Nice , although I’ve never had pimento cheese . Tell your friends!

Oh, fun stuff just arrived today in the mail. From now on any orders will have a sticker or two in the bag with the TEasy Strike, just something I thought would be kind of cool. They turned out great, they’re more like decals than simply stickers. I’ll pop up a picture tomorrow of them.

Did you have a look in the Game Controller applet of Windows? Does it show up there?

Okay guys, for the people that have placed orders in the past few days. Your orders are all packed and ready to go. There’s only one major problem, Chicago is currently getting reamed by the biggest snow storm in a very long time.

To put it short, your stuff is ready, but will be delayed a day or two due to the crazy weather. I’ll try and make a trek to the drop box but I can’t seem to find my snow shoes atm

However, my stickers came in, take a peek:

Question for you dudes. I fully admit that I am a PS3 noob. Haven’t had it for very long. It’s an older model that I got recently, so I can play PS2 and PS1 games on it, as well.

Will a TEasy Strike allow me to use my TE for playing older games on the PS3? I’ve had some issue with using non-Sony controllers on older games, and I’m wondering if it would be the same with this.

Hey guys… ok a new 3 part video is coming your way… filming begins tonight…

Part 1: Intro to Teasy Strike, and upcoming accessories (Sparky PWM, ArcEye2)
Part 2: Install from start to finish of Teasy Strike on a fresh 360 TE.
Part 3: Install of sparky PWM and ArcEye2 from start to finish

Part one should be filmed tonite and hopefully up by tomorrow morning (my ISP has horrendous upload speeds)
Part two should be finished this weekend sometime
Part three is TBA…

If anyone has anything they would like me to specifically cover in the video, speak now or forever hold your peace!

Stay tuned to my youtube channel:

This is an absolute breakthrough! i have only recently purchased my chun li TE S and really wanted to pay someone to dual mod my stick as i had no experience at all in modding (never even opened one up) thanks for the quick replys Phreakazoid and sorry for the stupid questions i have asked (which i could of got the answers from just reading through this thread).

I am definately going to be purchasing one of these boards in the near future! your not going to sell out anytime soon are you Phreak mate? (also, do we still get free stickers? lol)

also i’d like to give huge props to purplearms for the tutorial videos, very simple and clear to follow! i’m sure you have helped many people bud  any chance of you running through the TE ‘S’ installation too?

Quick question, does this thing automatically detect what console is being used?

Yes it does

Thanks and glad i could help! I’ve got a brand spaking new chun li TE-S stick and a teasy strike S that I will be filming an install for on Saturday. The video should be available later that day… This is part 2 of the video series. Part 1 is currently uploading to youtube =D

Unfortunately, I believe the current Dual Strike firmware does not support backward compatibility on the older PS3’s :/. Mephisto might be able to give some insight to that, he’s the FW wizard for this project.

Thanks for the kind words, appreciate it

And yes, now that I’ve got them I’m throwing a sticker in with each order. I don’t foresee being out of stock in the near future. In fact, the next run will probably allow me to pump these guys out a little faster as I’m going to see if I can have the assembly house populate the pogo pin receptacles along with everything else.

I don’t know if the dual strike’s latest firmware works in the backwards compatibility mode, but I do know that it will work for the ps1/2 games that you dl off the psn network.

For older firmwares I must confirm that it doesn’t work with PS2 emulation on PS3 fatties, unfortunately I don’t have a PS3 fatty to test. It could be that it works for newer firmwares as some things were changed, but I haven’t got any reports. I’d really appreciate it if someone could serve as my firmware tester, so I can try some things out.

Here is the first of the three walkthrough videos… This one gives an overview of Teasy Strike, and a quick preview of Sparky PWM and ArcEye2, and how they will all work together. Part 2 (install of TEasy Strike) will be here on Saturday. Feel free to ask questions, and enjoy!

I intend to buy one of these in the next week or so, so I can do that for you.

Yes, yes. Double posting is bad. But this is a different topic.

Dude, when is all that stuff going to be available? I’d love to go the whole nine yards with this. Looks like it’s going to be pretty easy and fun.

ETA for arceye2 is early March. Sparky PWM should be available at roughly the same time.

Very cool. I’ll be keeping an eye out.

Received my teasy strike last week and installed it on the weekend. Definitely an awesome product and very easy to install. This was my first time doing any types of mod that involved another board. Thanks Phreakmods! Thought i would put in my 2 cents.
