If I were to use a ChimpSMD for this instead of bencao74’s DS board, is it the same install, minus the fact that I’d have to cut the connector off one of the ends of the ribbon cable and split the wires apart to connect? I’d love to do the DS/TEasy combo for ease of install, but I can’t afford $45 to import plus the cost of the TEasy – At that point, I’m approaching the cost of flat out buying a PS3 TE. 
I saw toodles say something about 1 solder point for the ChimpSMD (for the guide button), but I’m assuming that’s if someone wasn’t using the TEasy board and was instead jumping connecting wires off the existing connections…

Yeah, I mistook the euro sign for a GBP sign – so when I googled the conversion, it was nuts.

small update
website is almost done, some minor final tinkering and I should have everything in order. When it’s up ordering the kits will be a lot easier for both you guys and I. No more having to send an email first or anything, if it’s available on the site, it’s in stock :tup:.
Stupid question of the day: Where’s the best place to get some of the zip tie anchors used on the DS PCB in some of the install videos for the TEasy? I’m looking around online, and shipping kills just about every place I find that sells them – I know it’s not exactly TEasy related, but this seemed like the best place to ask for me (I searched the tech talk quickly and didn’t seen anything screaming “here’s the best place to buy these”)… Sorry if I should’ve asked elsewhere… it’s just that you guys are so nice.
You can actually ask for those when you order your TEasy and DS boards. Just make sure to put them in the description spot before you send the money

Yeah if you need anything special just ask. I always toss in some anchors and ties if you order the 2 boards together from me though. That way you’ve got an out of box dual mod ready to go, no need to go find any mounting hardware or anything. :tup:
