Official TEasy Thread: TEasy Strike is here!

Well it’s not so much a package “deal” it just kind of saves the customer on shipping. I try to keep a stock of DS boards so that I can allow US customers to not have to deal with international shipping at all. Yes though, when the 1.2’s are completed (looking like it’ll start happening mid next week), I will have some DS boards for sale alongside them.

Space is a factor of course, a single board that does all of this allows the user to do more mods with the space he now has freed up. Price is also a factor, since a single board will cost less to the end user than having to purchase 2 separate boards + anchoring parts, etc…

How much of a decrease in price? I can’t say, but it for sure will be cheaper than buying both boards separately. I’ll still have the standard board for sale for users who want to want to have the solderless capability but want to do something else than use the DS functionality.

Please do, I’m pretty darn positive that it will be the identical PCB to the TE-S, but I would love to see how a blue PCB looks inside of a Blue TE

Count me in for a TEasy and dual strike as soon as the next batch is ready!

This looks like fire, good work sir.

Awesome Phreak! Got your email. Finalized the purchase through paypal and put my international address in the “comments” box since my US Paypal account doesn’t allow me to put international fields. Please make sure you got it all down. I’ll even PM you my address to be safe and because it lost some of the text break formatting.

Also I didn’t have enough text room to tell that my order is for two of the TEasy and two DS boards.

Anyways, thanks a lot!

All right, my stick should be in tomorow so i shall try and get to the modding either tomorow or the day after and take some pics ^^

anyone want to create a step by step tutorial on how to install the Dual strike and the TEazy mod? I just got my stick and realized i dont know enough to do this on my own ><. if anyoen is able to video chat me on how to do it, i’d be appreciative

As I suggested in the PM, I would follow the pictures that people have put up in the previous pages (Seekay90, animaX, etc…), the pictures alone should be enough to get the board installed. It’s pretty straightforward, cut the usb cable that’s running to the TE PCB (the big black cable with the red/green/white/black cables inside), strip the wires and attach to the screw terminals of Dual Strike, then mount it with zip ties and anchors.

Well what do we have here?

After getting immense help from my GF and little bro, I now have more TEasy Mod v1.2 boards in stock! However, the price has been bumped to $34 to compensate for the change/addition in parts. If you want to snag one of these guys just shoot me an email at Teasy.Mod@gmail.com!

sent you an email sir!

Edit: Payment sent

looks like a deep breath of solder smoke…

I wrote a more detailed guide here for the new version of the dual strike (screw connectors for usb lines)

Hey Phreak

Do you have some kind of bundle kit? Dualstrike + Teasy S?

Got it, dropping the package off at the post office today and should be at your door in 3-5 days!

Luckily the room is pretty ventilated, but yeah it was a lot of solder to run through

If you don’t mind, I think I’ll be linking this in the OP for easy reference.

I currently have a handful of the v2 PCBs left, so yes as it stands I’m selling a kit of sorts, which basically includes both PCBs and zip ties/anchors for install out of the box. I just haven’t put it in the OP since I’m usually strapped for DS boards.

If you’d like one shoot me an email, I still have ‘S’ boards available.

To everyone who’s placed an order with me, packages were dropped off yesterday and are on the way out to you. For those who got the 2 board kits, I’ve included anchors/zip ties at your request, but unfortunately I ran out of my nice smaller anchors and had to make due with HW store 1"x1" anchors. I apologize for that, and will be ordering some smaller ones today.

E-mail sent, please check. I’m new with paypal, did I have to leave my paypal address too?

I got it done Phreak ^^. After looking at all the photo’s and some deliberation on my own…i installed everything. Though the wiring could be cleaner, for my first time doing this, i dont think i did all that bad of a job >>;. Here’s my Dual Strike/TEazymod Chun-Li Stick ^^

Good shit ChoujiCosplayer!

The install looks great inside the blue case, although you can barely see the TEasy due to the color match

Glad to hear everything went well man, and no worries, it looks clean. Part of the reason ribbon cables are so badass for mods (when you don’t have to peel and strip them that is, lol)

Yea, my biggest worry was the PCB and installing that to the dual strike…there was a extra black wire and i was like…shit…what do i dowith it >>. left it out and no problems ^^;

Yeah, cool!

this is the GND shield. You could put it to the second GND terminal. Normally not needed.

Thanks for this one!!!

just would like to chime in and let you know that i received the products and the install was a cinch. one thing i’d like to point out though is that i had to switch my full plexi top back to the standard with bezel to fit properly. the mounting plate of the jlf was resting on the 5pin harness on the madcatz pcb resulting in a lift in the control panel. are the included spacers necessary for the install? ill try removing them and see if that works.

theBAYsics, I assume you have arts plexi on it. I am a bit worried myself since I have the extended plexi version from art (not the full plexi). Hopefully I don’t run into the same issues as you needing the bezel. otherwise i’m screwed since my bezel is in the States (currently I’m in Korea and my TEasy order is on its way here).
