Another complaint, the TE stick and SE stick for PS3, do not work with PS2 games via BC. If you do want to see them work with BC, please let Sony know. This is the same situation as when the HRAP3 and FS3 first came out (even VSHG), where those sticks didn’t work with backwards compatibility.

Maybe we can see that changed in a future firmware update.

Finally… something I asked many pages ago and got a neg rep for asking…

anyway, I’d be too busy with HDR, IV, and T6 to care anyway. Would have been nice but…

Hmm, Markman, excuse me if this had been answered before but may I ask why y’all aren’t releasing these sticks to Japan? I know Hori is making their own SFIV sticks for Japan but don’t y’all think Japan would go batshit to get their hands on the TE?

WOW. I cannot believe I never saw this mentioned elsewhere because this is BIG. (To me, at least)

Thank God I just ordered the HRAP3 + Seimitsu buttons instead. I’d be very disappointed if I got the TE stick and tried to play 3S with it.

Maybe others already know this prior to this post? If not I think it needs to be addressed quickly, I know alot of people would be really bummed out to find this out on the day of. I do apologize if this was already announced though.

Im sure the PS3 problem will be fixed. If they bothered to do it for other 3rd party controllers, then surely they will for these. I’ve never known a stick be in such large demand. At least, not in the UK

It’s because I asked them to please allow me to put the money in my credit card before they put it on hold and whatever and they told me I have to have it by 2-10-09 instead of the 2-22-09 shipping date on their site.

Ok, the PS3 BC thing is kind of a bummer. My MAS stick works with a Radio Shack PSX -> USB adapter. Why wouldn’t the TE?

Yes, that is what I meant. I don’t think it’s fair for those who went out of there way to get a pre-order for something they thought was kinda rare or hard to get. Only to find out the manufacture said screw you! Rare this:arazz:! We’re making as many as people’s gonna buy. At least we should get a number for how many is being made. Instead we get vague answer “Limited quantity’s” which can mean 3000 to 300,000. Unfortunately Dwindleflip is right.

i think i just miss-read your first post about collectors or something.

I’d prefer them to make a ton more of these. It’ll make it easier/cheaper to get one down the road.

Alright, so earlier today I called EBgames in Canada to see when they’re stopping pre-orders on the SFIV TE stick. He says they don’t know when, just that when they receive an e-mail to tell them that they can’t take any more pre-orders is when they’d stop.

I called just now, and the dude said “Sorry bud, we’re all sold out on pre-orders for those.”

I’m a bit pissed, but I’m wondering if pre-orders will open back up or something, since Canada doesn’t get the sticks until March.

as far as Canada is concerned, March isn’t set in stone either. My ebgames said Feb 18th as so did many others.

Alright so, how’s the normal Fightstick looking? I remember reading about some of it, but all I know is that it uses Madcatz parts.

How is it looking quality-wise? It’s looking like I won’t be getting a TE, so would the normal Fightstick last a while? “better than hori ex 2 and 3” alright cool, looks like I’m gonna try to pick minimum 1 of these, going for 2-3.

Are the pads PC compatiable? Skimming through the first page to see if I missed anything.

was at the HDR tournament held in SD yesterday.

Markman had TE stick and SE sticks on hand.

He was kind enough to open up the SE for me.

insides looked really good. All QDs, all marked.

whole place was setup with PS3s and the SE he brought was the 360 version so couldn’t try it out but I did wiggle it a bit, pressed the buttons, ect.

felt good. little more clicky then the TE but the whole package looked really good. nice quality.

stick had decent weight to it. metal top and bottom.

how long will it last, remains to be seen but as I said, all QDs and such so modding it out won’t be a problem.

after checking it out, I’m thinking of order a SE as well even though I have TEs on order. Looked to be a good stick. Far better then the regular Horis.

Mark did mention that SEs are almost sold out so if you want one, I’d suggest pre-ordering it now while you still can. Might turn into same situation as TE.

Shit. Thanks for the info. Gonna call EB in a few and go place A pre-order on the SE tomorrow for sure. Even if the SE is sold out, most EBs will be carrying a few, right? Called em, saying they’re sold out on both. Damn.

To anyone who’s preordered within the UK, I’m gonna be chatting with Mad Catz themselves (hopefully when a certain person gets back from lunch), so I’m gonna ask them when they think they’ll be shipping the sticks for us lot since absolutely no site has any information on shipping dates yet.

EDIT: Spoke to the nice lady on the line and she tells me they have no date given to them yet. Who gives them the date I don’t know but they have no date issued as of yet so don’t expect an early Feb release it seems.

What!? Wait, so we might not get these in Feb? I have 3 of these pre ordered. One with madcatz uk themselves who charged me full straight away so they better be getting these in come 20th feb. The other two are with shopto.net (20th feb) and GAME.co.uk who have a 13th feb release date written.
Now I know these are limited, but we better not get screwed over these! I know more sticks are going to usa, but uk SHOULD have some coming in feb. I’m gonna be one pissed guy if these don’t come out over here in time with street fighter IV.
