Official Street Fighter IV FightSticks & FightPad Thread (More on the way!)

Add IGN’s FightPad review - http://gear.ign.com/articles/946/946596p1.html

Holy crap…One has bids up to $271 for an X360 TE? I may just sell mine and build another couple customs for that.

no that auction has been there for a loooong time. I think he is bidding on his own item as another user. I had good luck selling at 230-240 max.

I don’t know why people do that… so lame.

Nice work. Thanks for the revision!

theres a video where seth says there will be a small adaptor for the older style of headset/mic, sorry i dont have the link.

Edit : sorry JBGolden answerd first, “Didn’t MarkMan say that 360 sticks would come with an adaptor for the old headsets?” yes he did.
and id like to agree the new FAQ is really very good.

Sweet revision on the FAQ, much easier to read.

Now we can discuss how TE sticks will make us Tournament level players!

The Page 1 revision is perfect. Well done!

Just because they say it’s made of magic it doesn’t mean it performs miracles.

Cell phone ears piece mics work on xbox 360 controllers btw.

Even if you have the best stick ever made it doesn’t mean that you’ll be any good with it. You’ll have to play/train a lot against people who are of the same or better skill then you. I mean, I think there are even some people that can own with an Xbox 360 controller, it just requires effort/time.

Yeah I think a lot of people are going to have rely on idiots to get 250+ off the stick anytime in the next 2 months. Anyone who knows how much this stick retails for will be pressed to pay more than 200 for it until it’s for sure that production for the stick is completely stopped. Either that or they live in some obscure area where they know stores near them won’t be getting any more shipments. I may not be selling the ones I get for a couple months so there’ll be a higher chance to actually make money off the stick.

Especially considering Seth is pretty much telling people in advance to sell them on Ebay it’ll be tougher for people who simply just want one to collect or play with to do so. I’m also probably gonna make things harder for you if all my sticks come in.

Also, Gamespot’s review is really GamePro’s review.

I asked this once but I didn’t get enough info. Will the Standard Edition sticks be rare enough to find that you’d get a profit by selling one on Ebay?

The standard edition sticks are being mass produced in comparison to the TE sticks. It’ll be about as hard as finding a whole Rock Band box set up at Best Buy. They’ll be much more available to the public and may not become rare for a long time if ever. By that time whatever next Capcom fighting game that comes out will have sticks available as well. Scarcity of quality sticks will no longer be an issue in America thanks to Capcom/MadCatz.

Okay, thanks. Because on the first page it’s written:

“Q:Can I walk in on that day and pick one up?
A: Very unlikely. Stores will only stock the Tournament edition if you pre-order, and** while some of the more popular Gamestops might have a few of the regular edition in stock, it would be best to pre-order to make sure you get one. Supplies will be limited.**”

ebgames in canada told me the TE would be here in march when I preordered. Does that mean they’re making more for both the US/CAN and how many were there supposed to be in the beginning?

This is true however MarkMan has said they are limited.

MarkMan said the SE will be limited as well.

Generally companies order more quantities the more preorders they receive. I believe there will be some extra TE sticks for the first week or so laying around unless the sticks were VERY limited.
