What exactly does this mean for the people who reserved theirs online? Is this good or bad?
I would say that’s more of a good thing since you are getting your product directly from the warehouse instead of waiting for a shipment to come in from the warehouse via GameStop. There’s no transition between warehouse and store that you have to wait for. Just straight from warehouse to…your house. You’re also not limited by whatever the store can afford to buy or has room to keep in stock. As long as they are being produced or stocked up in the much larger warehouse…you can be sure to get one. No waiting for the game store to get another shipment in.
Speaking of ordering directly from the warehouse…I just decided to order 3 PS3 TE sticks on top of the 2 360 ones I already bought. I need therapy. :looney:
To all the people that are getting this stick simply for collecting or trading purposes…a toast. 
I might keep one of each system just to mess around with. It’ll be hard not to play with one.

Hey MarkMan some people wanted to see pics of the fightpad, but I would rather see it in action. Most videos Ive found just show the pad and then they use the sticks the whole time. If you could post a video or pics of using one that would be awesome.
I’d really like to keep my TE stick without any modding and mod out the SE stick with Sanwa buttons and hopefully, throw on the LB-30-N Joystick Bat Top with an adapter.
Does anyone know if the stock SE stick will work with the adapter listed above?
I sure hope this is the case…I am sorta worried though because I ordered mine at the fucking LAST MINUTE. I placed the order on 1/11 and then like the next day all hell broke loose on SRK…
Will the TE stick be available at B&M stores like Best Buy or Wal Mart,if so will they be released on the 17th or 11th?
i heard a rumor that they were making a generic stick just like the TE… supposedly they got the rumor off SRK. “looked just like TE stick but black.” anyone have any idea what they could be talking about?

GameStop has one of the best customer service experience according to statistics. We understand about things. I cannot stress anymore how I, as a Store Manager and a consumer realize the high demand and price for these things. Your store had 3 customers reserve it… well guess what? Your store will only receive 3 of them.***
If someone were to ask for a TE FS upon or after release and they did not reserve one, yet we have a customer who has not picked his up yet. This is our response: *
“I’m sorry Sir/Ma’am, but that item was only available if you had reserved it. We will not be receiving anymore of these as they are a limited edition sku. The ones we did received are for the customer who has put down a deposit and/or has it already paid.”*
If that does not CLEARLY clear any doubts, questions… well I’m at lost for words for you(not really, but I’m actually a pretty nice guy despite what you hear about Marines :wgrin: and I’ll leave it at that)

I’m :wow: at people who are like, still pre-ordering when the PS3 TE stick randomly shows up at Amazon.
We already received word more than a week ago that there were basically six times the amount of pre-orders then available stock. What do you think that number is up to now? Even your first pre-order placed doesn’t guarantee you a TE stick, let alone three pre-orders way past the cut-off date :lol: Do you think extra sticks are just going to appear out of thin air?
We have guys like the “GameStop manager” in here cheerleading the “everyone who pre-ordered will get their stick” line, but this flies right in the face of everything we know about the pre-order numbers vs. production run, which basically amount to maybe 1 out of 6 pre-orders getting their stick in the first run. I find it funny that everyone is so worried about people “buying their stick” because Gamestop screws up and gives their pre-order to someone else; guess what, there may not even BE a stick to give to someone else.
And now the resellers have tipped onto this situation and are trying to buy up sticks in bulk, further worsening things. Meanwhile MadCatz and Capcom continue to hype up these products despite the fact that they seem to be sold out MANY times over. Not sure what their reasons are for this since it looks like there’s going to be a massive PR disaster when these are released and more hype will just make it worse.
The fact that nobody in any official capacity has really said anything concrete about what the availability of the sticks will be like smells of damage control; they don’t want people to freak out before the 10th (or is it the 17th? We don’t even have an official release date yet).
I’m not trying to be an alarmist, but the lack of solid information is troubling at best, and what we HAVE heard isn’t positive news, I’m predicting chaos when these are released, possibly even a “raffle situation” as one anonymous poster some pages back mentioned.

about the 2/11/09. i remember gamestop had the release date of the te stick as 2/17/09. does the 2/11/09 date only apply to online preorders?
All in all I hope a lot of people that are still asking “Is 2/11 the official date” read this post because there’s seem to be a lot of questions being asked over and over. But may we ask the mods to put this post on the first post so the people can read it when they come in? Maybe that should help a bit 
Also, do any of y’all think that with the release of Street Fighter IV and the sticks will help revive the fighting game industry that was very dependent on games like Tekken as of recent?
I put a pre-order down for a TE stick for PS3 and an FS for 360 last month. I just realized that they put me down for a PS3 FS instead. Is it too late to change it? Will stores be getting any extra FS stick for those who didn’t pre-order?

I think we have like 6-7 on preorder here at the local GS I frequent and besides my 3 there’s one each for the employees who play SF4 including the manager all of whom which expressed their feelings on what would happen if the sticks did not come so I think I’m good, lol.
I went to pre order my TE stick today and to find out it’s $189.99 CDN and won’t get it til end of march. I was like screw it, I’ll pre-order the reg Fight Stick and she says it’s $99.99 o.O wtf? Last week it was only $69.99 for the ps3 version not friggin $99.99!
Has madcatz raised the price for us canadian gamers because they now know it’s in high demand, needless to say I pre-ordered 2.
