Official Street Fighter IV FightSticks & FightPad Thread (More on the way!)

Thanks for the heads up dementia, I’m gonna ask he not post now lol

BLOCK’D!

Sweet. Hm, I wonder if the “Regular” is modifiable though, I wouldn’t mind switching out some buttons, just no filing down.

Determined to be the first one to release the info, hmm?

No, I don’t care who releases info first, I just want to make sure that nothing is put out before we are allowed to put it out.

The arcade sticks are a work in progress after all.

Assuming it comes with Sanwa parts, I’m hoping the stick can be swapped out for Seimitsu easily. That way I’ll buy 2, keep one standard for fighters and mod one with a Seimitsu stick for shmups.

i’m sold:wgrin:

What I think would be awesome is in addition to the one with real Sanwa parts, have the non-premium version use made-in-China knockoff Happ-style parts that are easily moddable. Non-premium would cater more to casual gamers who would prefer that kind of stuff anyway. And this way guys like me can have both :woot: If that were the case I’d buy a pair of each.

Is there an estimated price on the “premium” version of this stick? As a stock Hori T5 user I’m a scrub when it comes to jap part prices.

This is what I was somewhat going for. Great idea, I didn’t think to make the other one a happ style stick. Then we could truly have the best of both worlds. Though I really can’t see 4 Sku’s on the market.

I’m hoping the base will be similar in size/weight to the EX2 or Dreamcast stick as opposed to the HRAP line.

markman, is it only going to be arcade sticks? Id love a Saturn pad copy for the 360. I absolutely love my saturn USB pads for ps3/pc and just want the same for the 360.

Pads are coming as well

Optimism rising…

possible pics today as well.

Silly GameStop managers.

Hey MarkMan do you go to the Capcom office in San Mateo at all to work on this?

Update:

Okay folks… but first,

Mark: If you don’t like what I am about to post or have posted let me know. I think we have been rescheduled to see you guys next week or so. Anyway…

I just got back from the GameStop Manager Conference in Vegas and let me tell you, I have pics, and have played on the new sticks for SFIV by MadCatz.

Before I post the pics (they will be on my blog, coming soon…) I’m going to wait for Mark to contact me. They had them displayed and available for playing on, so I’m sure there might be pics out there on the net already from other people/press and what have you.

Again, I was able to play SFIV at the Capcom booth and compared it to the stick. It feels just as the sticks feel on the cabs. Using the exact same parts and then some other cool features (surprises for you kiddies) which I will not disclose because I do not want to steal any thunder from Mark and the rest of the team. Rest assured that you’ll be seeing all the info in the next GameInformer.

Prices:

pads 39.99
standard stick 69.99
premium arcade stick 139.99 (this is the one everyone will want, and must have)

Hey Rotendo, PM me or email me your impressions on it if you can.

We really don’t want the info out in public yet because the design/functionality is not 100% decided upon yet. I know we can’t stop people from posting pics/info on it since it was at the GameStop conference, so it’s on you if you want to put anything out there. Just know that it should be mentioned that each product is a work in progress/not yet final.

I’ll be in Hong Kong early next month to work/finish up on the final design, so I’m trying to get as much info and do as much test/research possible before we decide on the final.

We have a lot in store for fans and I’m sure Rotendo can attest to the feel/playability of the sticks so please look forward to the coming months as I assure you the final product will not only play great, it will look great too.

Cockteases, all of ya!

Glad to hear Rotendo’s happy with it and it looks like we’ll be getting pics soon, but please let gets some pics of the insides!

Glad to hear it plays just like the arcade cabs. I never thought I’d buy a madcatz product again.
