Hahaha…Barracks_Obama.
I wish I would’ve thought of that.
Does anyone have any extra cd keys?
For both… :(, I guess I lost em
Edit: Just brood war
Hwasin best Terran alive
I don’t play Starcraft often or know much about it… But thanks for the link in the first post, because I really enjoy watching the matches.
How hype and serious the koreans are about it and the commentators is what really sell it to me I think.

Klaz does a really good commentary of Jangbi vs. Bisu from the proleague. Good to see a non-savior commentary by him.
Ya, I have noticed Klaz loves Saviour. whats the deal? why is Saviour so interesting…
Anyone have an update on the latest tournies/standings?
sAviOr is interesting because he was pretty much THE dominant player for a while, pretty much all of 2006. He started showing some signs of weakness when he lost to PJ (Chinese Zerg) in WCG then he got smashed by Bisu in an MSL final, and then went into a long slump. He’s starting to play pretty well again, which is cool to see.
MSL is in Ro32 right now- highlights include sAviOr beating Bisu as part of Bisu crashing out of the MSL in group stages (sAviOr advances out of that group) and Jaedong losing to Hwasin and Flash in a group of death (Hwasin and Flash advance out of that group).
I forget what’s up with OSL right now, other than Bisu getting another chance thanks to BackHo’s back. IIRC Stork and fOrGG are into Ro16, I forget who else made it out of groups.
So I’ve been watching that averatec-intel tournament… There seems to be a lot of different tournaments.
What is like the main one? Is there such a thing?
There’s no real main one.
OSL and MSL are probably the most competitive. GomTV trying to make a push to 3rd main tournament.
Along with that you have proleague which is basically Teams against each other.
you don’t need a cd key for brood wars
any live games tonight?
MSL group D is still going on, Horang2 vs. Doctor_K (which is the BEST rename in recent history).
On another note, MA JAE YOON.
Wrong thread I know but seriously DOWNLOAD HALO WARS DEMO!
It’s siiiiiiiiiiiick.
The first starcraft class was actually posted online. I didn’t watch the video cause it was WAY too long but I know some of you here are actual hardcore fans and what not.

lol Jangbi is still a choke joke, Stork Jr.!
Actually you don’t need a legit cd-key period for ICCup. Instead of East or West, might as well play on that.
Bisu dominating. Bonjwa!!_!
Great finals for Bisu there.
Anyway, super noob question… When Protoss gets a few Carriers it just seems like game over for Terran(well, sometimes… Flash seems to deal with it pretty nicely). Is making lots of Goliaths the only way to counter this? Is Terrans air units extremely useless? Come to think of it, the Terrans seems to never make any air units ever.
I think I saw one game where a Terran got a few Wraiths to deal with Carriers, so I just wondered why this isn’t generally used.
I see your noob question, Yin, and raise it a “holy shit this fucker knows NOTHING” question.
I know nothing about this game, but I want to learn about it because I’m thinking of buying it. Is there any sort of huge compendium of Starcraft knowledge?
You shouldn’t let them tech that much in the first place. If it’s one of those “NR20” games, than that’s basically rigged for Protoss, since they basically have the best tech.
Your best option in that situation is to have Valkyries ready, and you better micro manage them by focusing the attack on the carrier. If you leave them to themselves, they will attack all the tiny ships and that just will not work, since those little ships are replenished constantly. Whatever unit you have, be it Goliaths, Wraiths, or Valks, make sure they’re attacking the carrier itself of course.
If this is a non-“NR20” or w/e, you should be mowing them down with firebats asap, with tanks coming next. No reason to let them build up carriers.
Thanks for the explanation!

This! After watching so much, I want to give multiplayer Starcraft a try… I’ve only like played maybe 5 matches in my entire life. Some sort of starters guide would be awesome. Watched the youtubed lecture, but I guess there’s only gonna be one per week or something… And it probably won’t be all that basic.
Btw Lobelia, apparently you can download a client here for playing at the iccup servers: http://www.iccup.com/starcraft/sc_start.html
(click “our FTP”)
I assume there’s no single player in that, and I have no idea how legal that is… But iccup seems like a pretty “official” source to me.
Playing that version will apparently also let you have a rank on iccup if you register… I guess. Someone else might fill me in on this, since I just found this site today…
