These vids are cool even though I dont really like SC too much. Awesome how they get praised for being good at games in korea but shit gets you looked down upon here.
I really wish Age of Empires 1 was this popular. Only bout 150+ or so people still play aoe 1. It did come out in 97 but it destroys all its sequels in terms of gameplay. And…get ready for it…is harder than SC.
I don’t remember aoe1 but aoe2 conquerors was the shit. It was really cool how they had a shit load of civilizations.
only downside is they only show 9 mins of the match, so I seldom see the end of the match. Any stage6 accounts you know of that host full length matches?

I might have misunderstood what you said, but they usually post the matches in parts 1-3 or whatever, full matches are always up though. Diggity, Moletrap, and Klazart always have full games and commentaries up.

You dont just need post iron skill, but actually stone tool and bronze skill and much better micro
either way - is there a civ that dominates in SC like there is in AoE? Cho legs pretty much destroy EVERYTHING (dm) except centurions but both lose to stuff like helepolis and assy dominates rm. Zerg seems to be the best with protoss a close second and terran bringing up the rear. Is that about right? Are marines really that good? marine/medic + tanks and vultures seem to be all terran players get. Zerg seems to be all mutalisk / ling / eventual ultralisk/guardin and toss seems zeal/drag harassment, dark/high temp and eventual archon + reaver. that about right?
Its the player that’s imbalanced, not the race. All the races are balanced basically.
Yeah for all intents and purposes, the game is pretty balanced. Historically, I think Terrans seem to win the most tournaments, with Zerg winning the least. So your order might be reversed gridman.
When you think about it, Terran possess both the strongest anti-air AND anti-ground units in the game. So it seems natural that they would be the strongest. However that is just considering attack power. Other aspects are there to balance that out. Terran aren’t very mobile. Tanks have to seige and unseige, and goliaths don’t move that fast to begin with. And while the science vessel is beastly, it’s expensive and not quite as beastly as say a high templar when it comes to offensive situations.
So with support units, unit costs, build times, and countless other variables… the game manages to be balanced despite these two powerhouse units the Terran possess. On the other hand, those two units’ lack of mobillity is countered by the fact that they both have insane range. The longest attack range in the game, I believe.
See, you could talk yourself in circles trying to explain the balances of the game. It truly is rock paper scissors. In other words, pretty balanced.
