Flash vs JD OSL and WCG final is still possible as well… It’s amazing how much they have risen above the rest of the players.

Is there anything specific that makes SC2 not as good?
There aren’t as many AI bugs, so it’s less micro intensive… less control over your units… easier for a bad player to beat a good player with a build order advantage. Maps also feel too small.

Jaedong beats Effort in WCG Korea semi-final, so another Flash vs JD final.
Only thing missing was a KT vs Oz pl final. Too bad Dong is in a shitty team.
Although I have a feeling Flash is gonna sweep. Not every game mind you but hell win all the series I think.

well imo i like the difficulty and speed BW over sc2. but mainly the changed high ground advantage (FYI. high ground in sc1 the low ground unist had a 70% miss fire while SC2 u cannot see units on HG unless u had something to detect above. this usually means that the bigger army always wins while in BW u can strategically place lesser units on HG and possibly win a fight with better positioning) feature, mbs, automine, and infinite unit hotkeying kinda irked me a bit. i don’t mind playing both, but in terms of viewing i will watch a BW stream over any sc2 stream.
anyway WCG finals and 3rd place match incoming. the finals between jd/flash is just a match for bragging rights while the more important 3rd place match between kal and effort will determine who will take the 3rd and final spot for korea in WCG. here’s the stream

First match was pretty epic (for the first 30 min) in the WCG final… I won’t spoil it in case anyone wants to watch it. So many battles going on everywhere on the map at the same time…they were probably hitting 500 apm.
its sad really. Im not hating on SC2 the game itself but it kinda irks me that somebody like Idra who could barely be a B-teamer in Korea is considered “god like” while alot of these new people couldnt care to watch the ACTUAL god-like gamers of S-class/A-class pro players in SC1.
I bet if you gave Flash/JD/Stork just one day to learn the builds for each race in SC2, they would massacre the current top SC2 players.
Woe to those who missed the excellent MSL semis.
i find myself more excited watching BW stuff over sc2 stuff (unless its like day9 telling a hilarious story or sc2ggrise shitting canadians in NA grudgematches :p). hell i also get more excited seeing certain units in BW than sc2. ill get way more hyped seeing a queen (sup Light), dark archon, or ghosts in sc1 than any other unit in sc2.
but meh thats just me. anyway Flash/JD finals inc and OSL still in round of 8. shits heating up

Well the only real reason why I keep watching BW is because of the players. SC2 just has a brighter future. Not to say that BW cant have one but it sure wont be as dynamic as SC2.
Gotta remember its called BW because it was an expansion to the original game. I mean I dont know how the game could be played without lurkers or DTs yah know? Not to mention Bliz patched the game up a few times over the course of its time. Im sure SC2 will come into light eventually. I just hope there are capable players there to make the product shine to its full capacity when it does.
Also the reason why you get excited when you see rare units in BW is because they mostly suck, or are only used to counter very specific units/builds. There are very few units in SC2 that would be considered useless which I think is a good thing. Although personally I think queens are much more useful than most people say.
