Oh and yeah speaking of Tasteless, I think his commentaries are great. His only problem is, apparently, with mixing names up and fumbling over his words from time to time heh. He knows the game though, and he explains what is going on well when he successfully gets the words out of his mouth. =p
To be fair though, Iris changing his name mid-tourny probably made things more complicated for Tasteless. All of his notes he read from probably still said Iris.

^I don’t have SC installed on this computer yet (got this new computer a couple weeks ago). Plus I’ve always played team money maps heh, so don’t look to me for any 1v1 strats. If you just need the basics though I can show you that. I know the mechanics behind all the units and the paper rock scissor aspect of it all. I know what units counter other units, what types of attacks are strong against what types of armor, and all that technical jazz. I just don’t know any 1v1 strat. =p
haha, there was a few matches he kept shoutting “OHHHH TAKING THOSE TOWERS OUT…YUP…excuse me turrets”, then 5 min later “towers are down towers are down yup” must of been playing some WC3 haha.
At first I hated him kind of like how i hate the commentator at the FFA ran bats, but now I like it it’s not bad at all, he should get his own account set up so he doesn’t have to comment on the screen the korean commentators are using:arazz:

sainthuey, Yeah, that would make it easier to commentate as well. I thought, “well maybe he wouldn’t be as successful at always showing where the action is…” But as I said, he does seem to know the game well. So who knows? Give him his own account and let’s find out!

No. There is just no real way for foreigners to get in, as no one is at the pro level. And the players who are close simply dont have the time or ability to get to korea and live/train there while they attempt to qualify over and over.
Bout once a year a foreigner moves out there and tries for a while then gives up. Most recently it was Draco who had trouble because he couldnt speak any korean and I will assume his english was also not great. In the past though there have been foreigners used in proleague though the last person to get through to the big leagues was Elky so many years back.
If any Zerg can do it at this point it’s Jaedong, he just needs to stop getting greedy.
I just can’t see Iris taking this, but Flash is on fire and I don’t see that stopping in the near future. If Sea can manage to not choke he’ll be okay (but he has a history of choking) so I’m not terribly confident that he’ll win it all.
Anytime, Much, Bisu and Stork are all so good so who knows.
Bisu should beat Iris given the map pool but who knows how the rest of the Ro8 will turn out. Jaedong v. Flash will be crazy, both of them could probably win the whole thing. Stork v. Sea looks like potential choking from either of them so who knows. Anytime vs. Much… Much has been winning a lot lately, and so has Anytime… but Anytime has shown some really sloppy play recently (his losses to NaDa in the OSL) so who knows.
My first impression is Flash, Much, Bisu, Stork. I wouldn’t bet money on it though.
Jaedong and Bisu are the obvious choices. But as a preference, I’d like to see either Flash or Sea win. Sea is damn solid and deserves to get off his tournament choke.
toss is so imbalanced, so strong mid game - 3rd tier practically un-stoppable.
Who advanced out of the pools? I only saw Boxer vs Nada and Sea+Bisu’s pool. Next batch of matches is on Feb 25th or earlier?
I’m way more afraid of Zerg hive tech than almost anything 'toss can do late game.

Flash is just such a god with science vessels, I’ll be interested to see what Jaedong can do. To be fair though I haven’t seen Jaedong play yet, because I’m waiting for english B matches.

Dark Swarm and Plague is just GG written all over it. Seriously, if you don’t micro your units and they’re all clumped up, it just spells GG.
I remember one game, I forgot who, but it was ZvT and Zerg was just losing until the Terran player tried to push inside the base, Dark Swarm goes off everywhere and Terran just gets massacred over and over, then he tries to push up again, Plague + Dark Swarm…omfg, it was nuts. Then Scourges went in and killed the Science vessels, so here come Lurkers + Dark Swarm again…
God, Hive Tech seriously owns. I just wish I played Zerg.
