Allright, so I played SC for a little bit sometime last year, then took a hiatus. Now I really wanna get back into it, at least before SCII comes out.
I think what held me back before was the fact that I never really took full advantage or completely knew about all the hotkeys etc., and how to execute in the game. Any good SRK SC player willing to tutor me? We can start back from basics. Doesn’t matter to me, just so long as I learn the game inside-out.

You don’t need a cdkey to play if you get the abyss version. That has no single player and you can only play multiplayer online through the abyss server.

get the game client and the patch. The patch lets you connect to the iccup server with antihack on.

No but seriously, I haven’t played in like 6 months, but at my prime I was a 250 APM T. Not that APM counts for shit, but people are usually curious. TvZ I stepped it up to 300.

250apm? impressive. I can only get that in short games if I concentrate.
I’ve been using apmlive for awhile now and seeing your apm and concentrating on improving it really helps in practice games. After awhile everything becomes easier and you will be flying across the screen with ease. I’d say APM is really important because below a certain APM you won’t be able to perform what is needed. I know if I had more APM I’d be able to do more. Rarely do you ever see pros spam in late game and yet their APMs are still high.
EDIT: When are the Valor vods gonna be available to non premium? It’s been 4 days already and I’m about to just bite it.

A lot more use of energy it seems.
A lot more diverse units.
Better graphics

The game look slow as fuck compared to SC1. (I know it new and all, but still)
Bisu vs Hwasin is also pretty sweet
I’ve heard rumors that the battle reports are staged/scripted as a way to better show off units. I wouldn’t really have a problem with it if they are, since they are basically glorified ads to hype the game. Look at the baneling trap after protoss breaks through the rocks. I didn’t see any blue on the minimap. It seemed kinda maphackish to time it that perfectly.
There is also a chance they aren’t playing on the fastest setting so its easier to see what’s going on…mmm…maybe not.
