Yeah cuz ryu is gdlke with fake fb lol, like I said it improves his rushdown game but if the beta is any indication (which it isn’t since we only have ken n ryu) then ryu won’t be moving on up much in the tiers IMO. Mind games are key im st right? so adding slightly to that isn’t a bad thing let alone as bad as you’re making it out to seem. And why is it a problem to make ryu better at playing offensively?

Dic and claw getting fakes are suspect to scrutiny though.

Vega is gonna be running away all day with that fake.

I can reversal it a decent amount of times, but I still don’t like the idea of anything that puts you in a situation where you have to hit a one frame window to escape a loop.

I think that’s kind of cool. And the Ken can be blocking instead of doing another throw so there’s alot of mind games there too.

This is pretty much my feeling about the fakes. Ryu fake fireball… fine. Cancelling into it for offense even provides it with a purpose beyond simply being a fake, so its ok with me. Adding in fake slide and especially fake wall dive is starting to go too far for me though.

i felt it was minimally nerfed myself; the same tricks still apply relatively well.

it’s not a dramatic change like giving him the shortest throw range or something.

remix ryu is quite refreshing to play as.

can’t really run away when there’s so many ways to catch him on his ascent…

psycho crusher, blanka ball, headbutt, fireballs (especiall sagat’s) all come to mind.

if he has any semblance of running away, nerf his wall dive damage and make him earn his damage a little more.

Yeah I dunno about Vega getting a fake wall dive unless he got nerfed some other way. I mean isn’t he already in the top tier along with dhalsim? A fake adds a lot to his mind games and the wall dive was already pretty good so… why?

i’m sure he’s also getting nerfs; we just have to wait for someone to post updates…

ryu’s fake is boss as hell and does serve a legitimate purpose: aiding his rushdown. By the same token, dictator’s fake will do the same (which will be a sight to behold LOL) claw’s sounds retarded though.

Ryu being able to more easily deal with characters that can just wait out a hadouken is the purpose of the fake hadouken. It aiding his rushdown is a bonus that I’m a little pessimistic about. I’d feel better if it counted as a command normal so you couldn’t cancel into it.

I don’t know if anyone answered the fake wall dive question, but characters with very horizontal arcs on their HP dragon punches (Ken, T.Hawk, etc.) used to be able to just throw the move out on reaction to him jumping to the wall, and knock him down. Now he can bait that shit with a lot less risk than his P wall dive.

But really all it makes me do is mix up my game after the kneebash. I sure miss you being more of a scrub at this game. Oh the days when i could just manhandle you and laugh. Good times.

Well clearly T. Hawk was way too good against Claw so this change is much needed…

The Mullah saw HDR at Battle of Destiny today and had this to say about it in another thread:

Yeah, it doesn’t sound too useful. And I’m surprised that they only get to play with the characters available at E3, that’s kinda disappointing. Makes me a little less annoyed about the lack of HDR at the LA SFC thing though heh.
