Kinda makes sense that they’d put the Taj Mahal in there, it was always kinda weird that they had some bastardization of a Hindu god in that level. Might have been ok 17 years ago in Japan, but it’s not in 2008 in the US. I think it looks really nice.

And there’s no way to tell how much the demon does since Akuma kills a guy with it, it might have kept on doing more damage for a while after.

Yeah, Brian, it was supposed to be there (and it was 85% of why I went there), but it didn’t show up. One of my friends there said he heard that the game couldn’t be shown because the sprites were messed up, but I don’t know how credible that is. SF4 was pretty cool, at least.

The ground “texture” in the China stage is pretty boss too

I don’t know man, looked pretty obvious to me that it wasn’t doing any more damage. There was maybe one more hit after vega’s bar was at zero but the individual hits were doing no damage anyway.

I think he’s referring to Nintendo’s emphasis on casual games which can be played by old people, such as Wii Sports.

Yeah, you might be right actually, supers don’t stop when the guy has no health in other circumstances, they continue on until their animation is done, so I don’t know why that’d be the case here. I wouldn’t be heartbroken if a grab-super character with a much easier time of getting in than the other grab-super characters had a super that didn’t deal as much damage.

Or maybe supers just deal less damage across the board? Nah, that would be too high on my wish list to happen heh.

By bringing video games to a larger and more demographically varied audience, of course.

the game looks really nice but it’s too fast by a long, long way. I really hope it doesn’t stay like that.

So we got to see hawks whiff and from what i can tell claw can fake out of his walldive. Frustratingly that player never does a regular walldive so we can’t see how it has changed. In the long video… You can see hawks safe dive which looks really good. Also you can see his juggling dp. Seems much more balanced than kens simply because he takes longer to land. Hopefully we won’t see silly dp x 3 combos from it.

double edit: seriously, the game is too fast. Please slow it down for the final version.
