Iâm not a fan of that press conference, but Lost Planet sold 1.5 million units (source: http://www.edge-online.com/news/capcom-reveals-life-date-series-game-sales) which is a huge success, especially for the opening game of a franchise.

Apparently not, as he was screaming that the Dreamcast ST wasnât a good version even after it was proven, and also said that CCC2 didnât have input lag after NKI verified it did.
I donât know a single person who bought it (I have many non-SF friends who own 360s), and the reviews were lackluster. Youâre correct, 1.5 million is a good showing for a game that didnât have any type of fanbase whatsoever beforehand. But at the same time, it certainly didnât compare with sales of any of the top games of the past 2 yearsâŚby no means would you call it a blockbuster. So why make a movie about it? Halo I can understand, but Lost Planet? Really? Was there a cry for this from anyone on this planet? Also this is E3 which is supposed to be about games, but Capcom instead does a round table discussion about a CGI movie. Great marketing there.
Meanwhile, they had a room with playable versions of Mega Man 9 and SF4. But thereâs no mention to the media at all about those gamesâŚ

well i just played the sthd beta for the first time last night. old news of course, but i had fun playing in the beta, and obviously its not as smooth as ggpo right now, hopefully that will be fixed
i didnt really feel much input delay but the warping everywhere was annoying.

Itâs true that ST match-up info would be valuable to noobies getting into HDR(like I will be) but Iâve actually wanted this knowledge for a long time. I just chose to ask here because it seems to be the most popular/active thread relating to ST. I watch match vids regularly and Iâve picked up on a few things but I know thereâs a lot I donât see. The majority of what I know is thanks to the Anniversary strategy guide.
Um⌠dude, 1.5 million sales for any first game that doesnât have Microsoft advertising an entire system launch around it (i.e. any game not named Halo) is really freaking good. The vast majority of games you see on shelves donât break sales into six digits, much less seven.
And you, of all people, actually put big faith in reviews these days, when most gaming mags and web sites pretty much depend on the publishersâ ad revenue? I thought you were the king of hate.

I own all 3 next gen consoles(360, Wii, PS3).
Waited in line for 5 days in the rain for my PS3 and then 2 days later got my Wii when it was released.
Wish I could get rid of this PS3 and my Wii is only used for my GCN games that I still play.
The Wii is a fad and Sony isnât delivering like they used to, theyâre all talk.
Microsoft is the only video game company left out of the 3.
I said it long ago since Microsoft decided to jump into the video game market, MS will ruin it beyond repair if they manage to out sell their competitors.
