You should report that bug in the Capcom BBS.
Actually, they “un-announced” the PC release of Puzzle Fighter HD–that’s why you haven’t heard about it. It could be appear in 2009, but for now, don’t hold your breath.

That’s inaccurate. Every console manufacturer has the final certification authority for every game that is published for their machines. The publisher serves as the second-to-last test bed to ensure that the game is designed the way they want and what not, and they generally tend to take checks to at least get a sense that it’ll pass certification when they submit it, but the final approval happens at the console manufacturer.
frank the tank: IIRC, it happens in regular ST as well. i think it started to do that once ssf2 came out. i could be completely mistaken tho =/ i do remember certain sf games where the fireball will not travel from one corner to the other
Did anyone notice on that interview, when Sirlin was explaining how they removed Chuns DF+MK flip, they showed footage of her DF+HK flip? I actually had to watch the video twice to notice that he said ‘medium kick’, cos I was absolutely bewildered at the idea that the DF+HK would be removed and not the other one, lol.
Forreals. Some of the pirates cannot wait to get it for free.
Ouch, that was the one thing I was worried about when I first read most of the things are easier to execute in this game.
Hrrmmmm…
What if they make it HCB? That way the motion is pretty similar and you avoid getting it by accident when doing walk-up crouching jabs.
Walk up crouching jabs are not the only problem. It will still interfere with SPD’s for example.
It never *really *interfered with spd did it?
It just means you messed up the spd motion.
Oh, you’re so right! That totally means they shouldn’t release it for PC! How does anyone ever sell any digital media? I totally forgot that the RIAA and MPAA loses billions every year because of piracy! And so do the game publishers! Oh, and that if a game doesn’t sell well, it’s because of those darned pirates, stealing the game for free!
I lol’ed.
Well, it does with me. Then again, i’m not much of a gief player.
it interferes with the spd depending on how the player does it. you can 360 either way, making a move hcb, or hcf, effectively removes one of the spd motions. plus considering the new motion is also hcb+f for spd, thats too much overlapping i think
I took another look at the article and comment that I was responding to and I had thought that it was only talking about concept approval. I see that it’s also going into final certification approvals, by which you are correct.
You could compensate by making her super better against fireballs. Longer invincibility and greater horizontal range. I have no clue how much ‘easier’ the lightning kicks are to perform, but that has to be a plus. It’s a good move, and it’s easier to do. No idea on the ‘new’ bird kicks. In the end I don’t really care, but I find it weird that it’s still there.
If this is correct, you would still get spd as long as you do a spd. So it doesn’t interfere with spd really.
It possibly interfere with karas into spd (which can happen trying to DO a spd) but still don’t interfere with spd.
<-- is a fan of old green hand motion.
it’s still a shitload of money they’re losing due to piracy.
case in point: Asia
They are two completely different situations. The one you’re describing is people selling illegal copies of software (counterfeit), for profit. The other, is random people knowingly downloading the software illegally, FOR FREE.
same principles apply; less money goes to the guys who made them.
The profit is sales- costs of production.
1 Unit of Piracy does not equal 1 unit of sale.
All those Asian pirates don’t matter, as they’d never buy the game anyways, you aren’t losing any sales when they pirate.
Not saying piracy doesn’t matter, but I’m pointing out the dumbness of that argument.
