Yeah, that achievement won and it’s such a lame one, haha. Go figure, big surprise that the anime-storyline-fanboys would vote the shit out of that one, hey?
I think the hands-down best achievement suggested was having to get one win in an online match using each character. It’s so good because it strongly encourages newer players to try every character for at least a short while, which would theoretically foster at least a small increase in both the diversity of character selection and the average player’s knowledge of matchup dynamics, which would in turn help to make more online matches more interesting.
It inherently targets the perfect demographic too, where the majority of players on XBL who actually care about earning achievement points are so often the type that would be more casual about fighting games, who are so often the type that would otherwise just pick shotos and jump around a lot.
I guarantee this achievement would cause a tangible increase in the quality of netplay as a whole, even if it’s only by a tiny bit. Moving the height of the bottom rung of a ladder up a notch forces every step above it move up a notch too; as more scrubs become less scrubby, everyone has to pick up their game.
I don’t even remember if it was on that poll or if it was just a smart mind from here that brought it up, but it’s such an excellent suggestion I just had to bring it up.
Haha either way it could not hurt to start gathering support for it. I understand that to have widescreen support in the first place is good, but it sure feels like they really did not think this was a high priority thing.
It would be hilarious however, if someone would counterpick with let’s say Dictator, and asked to put it on widescreen (even on standard TV’s for more hilarity) and stays in the air.
that’s a great suggestion and i think that’d be fun. i’ve always been a boring player with ryu, ken, sagat but i do plan on learning dj and t-hawk so hopefully there is some sort of achievement like this.
So if I was to use the new command for lariat ( a punch + a kick )
which vers. comes out ? The Kick vers. or the Punch vers. ?
Also is the combination of p+k a strength for the lariat ? Like wk + wp = a weak lariat ?
Agreed partially on vega. Well he does need it, but without the stand glitch and less damage, at least no re-juggle.
Chuns upkicks are garbage compared to all other flashkicks, DPs.
Priority sux ass and it takes skill to counter stuff w/ it.
If you fight a Fei long, w/ Chun you cannot sit on your ass waiting for Fei to do his Chicken wing so you can upkick them. CW destroys your upkicks.
With Guile, DJ, Rog, you can just sit back and when you see Chicken Wing, do your flashkick, upkick without any tight timing. Fire & forget basically.
Also, Chuns upkick (LK version) loses to DJs Jumpin LP. Thats how crappy it is (I get knocked out of upkicks or my 1st hit whiffs, and DJs on the ground b4 2nd hit come out)
Chun upkicks are just a nice to have tool.
And Chuns stand Roundhouse is slow. b4 I do that move, Id rather jump up RH someone jumping in. I use RH on occasion, but its all situational.
Preferred normal Anti air are Jump up RH and stand forward, which also is situational (right distance, far/close version)
Ok, times up. Download of High Res BB trailer is down. So im done writing lol
I was referring to the standing round when she is up close, the one where she does the standing splits, it seemed pretty good to me when i was messing around with her.
Chun Li and Fei are somewhat rivals in this game, areas that most other characters have issues with Chun Li, Fei Long doesn’t example jumping short or cross up by chun li, fei’s dp 90% of the time beats it cleanly, not so true for DJ and Guile.
Anyway I have a biased opinion of her much like Pablo’s hatered for Honda
