Official SSF2T: HD Remix General Discussion Thread

recycling old art for promotions? see that’s what happens when a company always depends on money to even get the most simplistic things done.

anyways, it’s still a tad early to be determining if HD Remix will be delayed again.
I’m sure there marketing will start when MS says it passed certification. we are not even
in October yet. so say they submit it this week that enters October, depending on how
how soon MS gives them the green light, they’ll start promoting it. I’m sure the certification
will be near-instant. and about week after submission. so that means HD Remix could
come as soon as mid-October. I mean Capcom already confirmed they have
a set date but Seth is not allowed to reveal the date. plus since HD Remix has special status,
MS would definitely be willing to release HD Remix much sooner than other games that
are pushed for release later.

cause THEY SURE AS HECK would not want Sony to release HD Remix before they do.
(but then again, MS didn’t care about being the last getting Mega Man 9, then again,
that’s just an 8bit game of a franchise that never sold as much as Street Fighter does.)

Yes, I find most people prefer to be paid in the smiles of small children.

lol:rofl:

…you might want to do some calculations on that last statement.:wonder:

That’s a difference of a few days though, which isn’t as bad. People generally will tolerate up to a week’s difference.

He’s actually right. SF2 on the SNES is Capcom’s highest seller to this day, by a quite a margin too.

I’m sure you could spin it about a dozen different ways, depending on if you want to count lifetime sales of the series vs. specific titles (how should the arcade SFII series factor in)?

If anything, the hype and sales of BC:Rearmed and the projected sales of MM9 should indicate SFHD is going to be a really popular title.

I was referring to series…

If you’re referring to series, I don’t know where MM ranks, I know SF series as a whole is in Capcom’s top 3 series with RE being the other one. I know there’s an ungodly amount of MM games.

I need to go out more.

That’s a cool link! Out of curiosity, does anyone know how many copies of the game are in a unit?

Should mean 1000, as SFII SNES selling 6 million sounds right.

correct, they just omit the last 3 zeroes in the number

Someone posted 1 unit =1 game. Guess they were wrong.

rawr! nevermind the sales! anyways with Guile’s new sprite finally revealed, we can confirm he can beat Ryu.

also, Blanka’s normal colors are closer to the USA Street Fighter 2 version of his colors (forest green skin, darker orange hair.)

also anyone notice how strange all the photos display people using their ORIGINAL COLORS??
I mean either s-kill told everyone the right button to use the original color, or it’s all a coincendence they all choose their normal colors.

**I’m guessing the original colors in Remix mode will be selectable using the Back button. ** it makes sense.

PS3 doesn’t have a back button.

but it does have a Select button. they usually serve the same purpose on controllers but
it’s the only button not used by this game so far, so why not use it for original color selection?
(press for original color. hold for player 2 color.)

Still all kinds of bicchin about anything in this thread. Hopefully those MadCatz sticks come out before SFIV does.

Will these sticks have octagonal or square gates? I just learned what gates were and that my EX2 has a square one. I can’t do dps and qcfx2’s on it for shit. I have more luck with a Dual Shock.

Speaking of colours, I’m not sure if it has been mentioned yet, but does anyone know how many there will be of each character? I know Turbo Revival had 9 per character.

It’s not huge deal, but it would be nice to see
