Ken’s DP is good enough already because it’s hit confirmable so you can FADC on block, and has great forward momentum so it can’t really be backdashed and it’s good for combos.

His tatsu doesn’t hit overhead because he can combo after it into big damage options. Other shotos knockdown on hit, except Akuma, who gets his vortex started from it, which is likely why their tatsu hit high.

If you are indeed “a pure external viewpoint that is untouched by the common biases of the forum” and therefore, you lack of general knowledge about the game, I think you should just read the suggestions that make sense, see how the debates goes between people about some characters, instead of just suggesting stuffs that clearly don’t make sense.

Vega needs a reversal (ex scarlet terror), Honda either give him a little bit more damage or give him back his headbutts, Balrog back to super Rog, Blanka give him his hop back make electricity a better reversal (if they can mash DP let me mash electricity) and make his up ball less punishable Idc about rainbow roll or beast roll (Fei long can punish ex u.ball when hit but if he blocks he can’t punish… ) And finally give Hakan the damage e.honda could do in super and make T.hawk the best char in the game along with Gen, Nerf Fei like Rufus got it #FuckYun lower his stun slower command grab more recovery on it less range, less damage on shoulder, and make his super gaining a little bit slower

Seriously don’t look at just damage. Ken’s DP is more than just damage.

and as far as I know I did do something else instead of writing nonsense on this thread: I read other people’s suggestions, gave my opinion, read debates about problems about some characters, etc…of course I could’ve said that Rose needs to hit hard like gouken, spiral needs to do spd damage since she has lowest damage of the game (oh I learned this from eventhubs, funny huh) but there’s a difference on suggesting interesting stuff that could open a debate and suggesting stuff that would only make people look at it and say “lol” to themselves and move on

-Honda does need his damage back…bleh, remove nerf from majority of the old cast is pretty much what capcom should do and adjust some small tweaks on some characters…A lot of people are still craving for old vanilla gen to be back for example…I think he would fit AE perfectly

people tend to forget about hitbox / frames and other stuff

I have to tell new Akuma players the same thing. Damage isn’t everything. Sometimes taking a little less damage for better utility or position is a good thing.

I would like to see juri’s counter have a faster start up or something. Also a solid reversal. Her ex pin wheel looses/trades with really meaty moves. Or moves with a lot of active frames. Also I would like to see her ultra 2 hit being her seeing how it fully rotates around her but it does not hit behind her. Maby not suck them into the full ultra animation but just hit them.

ex air dashes are in the game, you can do a pc mod to get them, they were originally in but removed for some reason, the difference is that you can do normals or air tatsu or ultra one after the ex dash… pretty sure he will be broken if he jumps, uses one bar on an unsafe forward dash and then crosses u up right?

better angle on his qcfqcfKKK ultra 1 will make him op? or make his anti air ultra 1 more usable other then from a srk fadc for 10 extra damage?

yes I agree but you can get hit out of Barcelona attack 85% of the time using it as a reversal or wakeup Just would prefer one that would be viable in a situation in which you would be under pressure ex. I was playing dmg gridmans viper and tried to use Barcelona attack (ex) got hit out of it then tried ex scarlet terror and got the same results

This is all a joke right? This is the sort of garbage I am takling about, especially the Ken stuff. Ken is the best shoto in the game as he currently is. He needs 0 buffs.

Honda does not need his damage back at all.

Alot of people have mentioned this already, but some just ignore it. It’s not really a re-balance more of wrapping up what was started.
1: Aracade Edition title screen and all updated animations intros etc.
2: All challenges trials updated for new balances and new characters challenges added, they are really useful for people of all levels of play to learn.
3: CReate your own challenges and upload them. Alot of games now such as little big planet, infamous 2 etc are all incorporating create your own level, and share within the community, not only would this extend the life of the game some what, it would also help the scenes development and in away you tube uploads can’t do. As the inputs can be matched up, doubles of trials can be nipped in th ebud, and what would be kool, is if at certain points, the game could suggest variations, at points where combos branch.
4. TAke care when balancing this time and leave it at that, how is it possible to keep up if you are forever playing about with the mechanics. And some things are so obvious, so don’t be stupid, and hurry up with sf5

I don’t think Ken has any bad matchups. If you want to give a 6-4 for the twins against Akuma (or even 7-3 vs Yun if you’re one of the whiners), Ken comes out ahead in matchups.
