So they put it in her trial combos in vanilla when it wasn’t supposed to be there. A combo trial you can only perform with a move that wasn’t supposed to be in the game ???

Wasn’t there a post earlier that we should stick to speaking on characters we actually know???

Actually the combo you’re referring to could be done with a regular cannonstrike.

For reals though, they shouldn’t touch 80% of the cast, they are all viable (with a couple exceptions). It’s just that the best characters in this game make the rest of the cast pretty obsolete. People shouldn’t be asking for buffs to a character that was already buffed in AE, they are good, just not viable with the current tier-list.

Slightly nerfing the top characters will instantly make like 20 more characters playable again

I play Cody mainly, and if he got a slight boost to his walk speed or a back dash buff, I’d be happy. For the love of god though, crack kick being airborne would make my day. Seriously, the man visibly jumps but he’s “on the ground.” It really makes my brain hurt. Also, just purely to bitch, it’s gay to be thrown out of it when my wake up options are as follows:

That might be TOO strong, but I agree he needs a useful ultra again. U1 sucks cuz of downcharge/startup and U2 “Sonic Hurricane” is more like a sonic summer breeze now.

Sonic sprinkle even.

Hurricane? No.

Guile got damage raped in AE, while taking MORE (counterhit) damage himself. Id even be happy with normal damage buffs, like I said SHP 120.

I say get rid of those retarded triangle charge inputs altogehter and just do double charges like Guile’s U2. I don’t care if they were in ST they’re still stupid.

As far as putting everything together in one post, it becomes difficult, since I have my own biased views but what I was thinking about doing is putting things in the first post that keep coming up through out the discussion. That way, it’s not just what I want or what someone I agree with wants but is more inclusive of the community as a whole.

So far there seems to be some consensus about:

**1 .Lowing Ultra damage **
**2. Yun needing to be fixed (to what extent there is still some disagreement) **

I’ll keep my eye on the thread. I don’t log in as much as I used to but I still lurk nearly everyday so the thread won’t be forgotten.*** If an idea keeps coming up I’ll edit the main post. ***

Since Ono announced that there will now offically be a rebalance of SSF4:AE let’s discuss changes we’s like to see.(Since a thread like this now makes sense.) STAY ON TOPIC.

(The following are things I want and are NOT representative of the community)
Vega –

invulnerability frames on Scarlet Terror.

Combo into Ultra from Cosmic heel (this would justify the neg. frames in AE)

Better recovery on overhead.

Needs a 3 frame move cr.LK or standing Lk would do fine
Bison –

Faster Psycho Crusher

Ability to cross up with devils reverse/more air mobility

Change Ultra 2 back to motion input so it is a threat again. (decrease damage if you have to)
Ibuki –

Fix Her target Combos so they don’t whiff on crouching characters (shotos, blanka, ect al)

Give back Kunai damage

cr.LK to 3 frames
Fei Long –

Return him to Super status, he didn’t need all the buffs in AE, he was already great.
Ryu –

Make him master of the fireball again (like ST) he’s been nerfed so much he needs buffs now.

Fast fireballs shuould be faster and slow firballs should be slower.

He should have sonic boom like recovery making his fireball game something to be feared. (i.e. fireball traps)
Ken –

Give him is roll from the alpha series
Akuma –

Raging Demon does more damage it should be the most powerful Ultra in the game.
In General

Nerf all dive kicks.

Increase Damage from supers but make Ex moves in general better so there is more of a dilemma in choosing to go either route.
[S]- Super meter should not carry over between rounds (ST style) Use it or lose. This way people fight instead of wiffing moves if they think they will lose. (controversial I know but think about it) [/S](Now has it’s own thread to discuss)

Nerf all Ultra damage across the board. Effectively taking away/lessening “comback” mechanics and removing crutches from players.

The closer the game gets to ST the better it will be over all and I think removing Super meter each round will force people to get to know their normals, start to zone better and play more footsies. The same applies with the Ultra damage nerfs I’d like to see. Take away crutches!!

Can we stop with the need for Ryu buffs. He is fine the way he is. Just because he is not the best in the game does not make him bad. He has a set up for his ultra. He has one of the better projectile attack in the game. You want to cry about projectile issues, play Dan. Giving Ryu Guile’s recovery would make him in a word… broken.

As far as Ken goes I would love to see his roll make a return along with his kick from CvS2.

I can go on but I just wanted to vent about the whole Ryu needed buff nonsense. In my humble opinion had the Beast used Ryu he would have done better at Evo finals.

This is sf4 not ST. EVeryone was fast in ST. Say goodbye to the good ole days of ST. Trust me, I would love to see some ST hit 4 but it is not going to happen.

The game is what is. I think Ken needs the help. High level shotos either play solid Ryu or keep away Akuma. My concern is Guile. How to help him without making him S tier.

I agree add some recovery frames so dive kick spam can be punished.
