another patch?? Again? I guess too many scrubs complaining about yun and yang. Anyways, Why nerf the twins? Fuck that, why not just make everybody else better? game would be better than the way its going now

Gouken is already retarded with the big punishes.

Punishing huge mistakes is his forte. The problem is that at high level people don’t really make big mistakes on a regular basis. They make minor/small mistakes. Gouken has no way to take advantage of this. The only kind of minor mistake he can punish is if the opponent is point blank and we can use our 3 frame cl.st.mk which only combos with LP palm which was nerfed in dmg and stun in AE.

Outside of that we have a 4 frame c.lp that has to be immediately cancelled into LP Palm (and even then the range is so horrid it will probably whiff anyway) or do a shitty light chain.

After that is c.lk which combos with nothing besides Tatsu (I’m not even going to go into the dangers of trying to use a regular tatsu in a combo) and is a 5 frame start up OR we have cr.mp which is the same problem as c.lk.

His only hit confirm only works off a regular jump in. If you neutral jump or cross up the opponent is pushed to far to combo a palm into it.

Regular tatsu is ass as ever so you are forced to use EX tatsu for antiair and with counter getting split into three choices as opposed to just two along wth the dmg nerf you need EX for this as well.

His fireballs start up slowly along with all of his other specials so you are also focus fish bait as well. I realize EX tatsu was given armor break to compensate for this, but again, that’s MORE meter and 100+ frame of recovery once your opponents starts baiting that shit by flashing and back dashing.

I don’t view Gouken’s crappy wake up as something that needs to be fixed. It’s just the way he is in my opinion.

I see his problems as being this…

-No way to control the space in front of him
-Way too meter dependent in this incarnation
-Unable to punish minor mistakes
-Hit confirm is useless
-Zoning is just mediocre

I think something as simple as increasing the damage on some of Gouken’s normals will go some way to helping out with that problem of being unable to punish small mistakes. Make his jab chains hurt a tiny bit more, or make his sweep cause more damage.

I agree. I hate U2, and think that its invincibility being taken away is very smart, but its really stupid that the hitbox on the orbs is so small now.

After countless good and bad suggestions I just want to say 1 thing to Capcom:

PLZ DONT NERF VIPER CUZ NOOBS LOSE TO HER AND WHINE ABOUT IT!

As a Viper main I’ve spend hours in training mode and still screw up every now and then and the punishment that follows usually hurts like hell! She’s already a rare sight, nerfing her even slightly would make me run to Makoto (secondary). Her worthless normals are a torture on their own! People still dont seem to know that she has a blind spot in wich no attacks that can hit you (no, I dont mean full-screen). She cant put up continuous pressure unless she takes a big risk herself. People have to realise the following:

VIPER IS NOT A SHOTO OR ROG OR YUN OR BLANKA! Unlike these characters, she cant be played decently unless the player is on a very advanced execution lvl and knows a fair deal of the advanced mechanics of the game. A character that hard to play and that risky deserves to be a high damage character. If they would have to nerf anything it would be her T knuckle’s stun. Even I think that 200 stun on a move that completely safe most of the time is a little over the top.

They should also nerf her normals even more. A character that can negate any footsies and zoning anyway doesnt need any good normals.
Shes not rare at all either, theres been many Viper players since Vanilla and EVO was full of them as well.
I think shes pretty much perfect how she is though, even though a lot of her game is seriously just rock paper scissors.

That’s untrue. All top 16 characters are too good and are way too competitive for their own sake. Therefore need to be nerfed because they obviously have no bad match ups.

What are these advanced mechanics that you are referring to?

  3. Give him the ability to focus cancel Rakan Dantojin and EX version should not have a throw-able hitbox. On startup at the least.

If she had her old orbs your top tier main wouldnt be able to rush her down for free.

They also messed with the hit box on them too.

Overall Vanilla Rose is better than AE Rose pretty sad. Since Rose was no where near top tier in Vanilla or in Super.

Besides you act like she could spam U2 all day. Most times you can only use it once. So a 'get off me" move used once per round wasn’t broken at all.

Being that it was her ONLY “get off me” move. Now it’s back to EX Soul Spiral. Which gets beat out by all kinds of stuff so it was never a great wake up move to begin with.

I been using Rose since Vanilla and I wont stop now, but she’s terrible in AE that’s for sure.

fei long as much as i love playing as him, i think that there are some things i dont understand/ would like to change.

  1. why is his crouching heavey not a low hitting attack ? i mean it looks like it is hitting below the knee o_O
    2.why does his ex rekka do 180? aint that abit to much?i mean i no his heavey punch rekka does 168 but maybe they should tone down the damage on his rekkas.

SETH, after watching poongko as evo i decided i would play more of my seth, i was never really good with him, but i taught him being the boss in sf4 it would be cool to mess around with him back in vannila :rofl:
1.you should make seths walk speed faster, i have problems getting to an opponent sometimes.i know he has a teleport but i seem to use his wall jump more, it is actualy really good :slight_smile:
2. increase the damage on his pildrivers, i think they do not do enough damage.
3. more health.

**YUN, **i think he is a hard character to deal with,but i know he wont deserve as many debuffs as he will get.

That is where you are wrong. Rose got two ultras more than any other character. So it wasn’t too uncommon for her to use it twice in the same round.

And you didn’t need to use it to be effective. The fact you had it killed any attempt to pressure Rose on wake up. It was retarded and brainless. Even the worst Rose players could use it effectively. It was a completely safe ultra in a game where ultras are unsafe as hell.

The nerf on the orbs was deserved, but I thought the nerf on c.mp was not. Rose needs buffs not retarded crutches. Give her more legit tools to deal with pressure.

Guile would like his nuts back, so he can hit like a man again… :wink: Damage buffs. Standing HP(120 like vanilla) and Backfist(at LEAST 100).

and PLEASE get rid of that SB counter hit nerf.
