Only thing Gen really needs from Vanilla is his old Mantis Jump arc.
A general change I’d like to see in Version 2012: make every characters’ moves actually do what they’re supposed to do. Two examples that come to mind are Vegas Scarlet Terror and Guiles Flashkick.
I’d also like to see his stance cancelling too? that parry was pure amazing.
can people that dont play gen please stop talking about him. i doubt most people have seen a really good gen, or played the character enough to know whats up
he dosent need old jump arcs or ex oga. and the parry is still in. the character is pretty strong now. his one real weakness, even more than on wake up, is being free to certain characters jump ins.
he needs a buffed AA hitbox on mantis stand fierce or crouch fierce more than anything
Give Makoto an optic blast that instantly kills the opponent for one EX Stock. She needs it to compete.
A few things I would like to see for Guy.
- Faster recovery on Run/Stop
- Bushin Flip Elbow should have more hit stun
- EX Hurricane Kick should not whiff on cross up
- Increase grab range on U2
- Jumping Elbow should be a overhead
Also, someone else suggested that sweep should not be as easily punishable if it was spaced properly.

There is still a bit of room for improvement for Run/Stop. I’ll just quote what Half-Ro said on the AE Rebalance Patch : Guy wishlist. He explains what I suggested.

I’d really like it if overall damage output was buffed for all characters as well. Like, to the level where Fei Longs’ current punishment damage is merely average, as opposed to exceptional. I don’t like how they seem to be progressively nerfing damage with each new iteration. I hope this trend doesn’t continue in Ver. 2012.
I forget if Fei Long’s, Yun’s and Yang’s command grabs count towards damage scaling? If not, they really should, like Gouken’s back throw. Even Makoto’s command grab kinda does since it causes 40 damage to start off with.

That’s not true. Frame data may say it’s an infinite, but you have to worry about spacing. If Guy doesn’t run forward far enough, he’ll get pushed out. Not to mention, even if it did result in a RSF-like loop, it’s a loop involving Low Short… it couldn’t do all that much damage…
I’m not saying Guy needs a faster Run-Stop (I don’t think he does), just the possibility of a loop shouldn’t be an automatic disqualifier.
dude just stfu. you rarely see yang punish fireballs with EX DP and damn sure not HK/MK DP at the level it matters most ( high level ). because you know why? because opponents know how to fucking mix it up with normals whiffs, etc, just to throw a fireball. yang dps only rape dumbass scrubs who keep throwing fireballs without mixing it up at all. just stfu and don’t suggest anymore nerfs to a character that exposes scrubs habits. i’ve seen some reasonable yang nerfs ( like palm meter gain reduction ) but this is by far the dumbest one i’ve seen so far.
also, if you’re punishing people fireball hk dp fullscreen, then either that character have very shitty recovery because hk dp slow as shit or you opponents just suck ass.

You mean she doesn’t have a ROM already? Good Sak players certainly make it seem like she does.
Damage is irrelevant, as it’s still an auto-win unless you’re way behind your opponent, from any linkable normal move. You can do CH s.MP xx Run xx stop, s.MP right now, and Guy definitely doesn’t go out of reach. And unlike RSF, this would be dead easy, also fully plinkable.
TC + Run/Stop on block gets -3 frames in Arcade Edition, just bring it up to -2 on block. Honestly, 1 frame more would be enough for me.
