This. People keep acting like Fei was dramatically changed from Super. He wasnt. It was the changes to the other characters that made it appear that way. I am growing tired of reading about Fei’s so called buffs from people when they dont even understand why he become stronger in AE.
Fei is fine as is. Once the others characters get tweaked it will all be relative.
Sometimes it appears as if people are saying “because I dont like this character it should be nerfed”
One thing I do find amusing, is 99 percent of the people in here want buffs to THEIR characters, and nerfs to others in order to make their characters stronger. It is hard to take a lot of this seriously. There is a difference between what you want, and what the game needs.
i wonder how would they nerf yang? hes definitely not as overpowered as his brother, but hes still damn good, maybe too good.
things i think should be nerfed:
-meter building on the whiffed palm. its too easy for him and yun to build meter. with meter, yang can almost effortlessly fadc his way in off roll kick and block slashes. with so much easily built meter, he can also fadc or teleport his way out. its hard enough to catch these twins in the first place.
-damage scaling on command grab
-nerf the range on the ex command grab. 1.19 for yangs and 1.3 for yuns is absurd. make the range 1.1 but tone down the whiffed recovery frames.
-last hit of the slashes is not fadcable. the slashes is already a good and semi safe pressure chain; being able to fadc after the first, second and last slash gives just gives yang too much freedom to do whatever and whenever he wants.
They do not count towards combos and thus don’t cause combo damage scaling. Gouken’s back throw does precisely 1point of damage and thus counts towards combos. Makotos also counts towards combo scaling.
Gouken backthrow into ultra, or juggle but tech’ing is somewhat easy
Makoto ex command grab with armor, into scaled combo or ultra, but unsafe on whiff
Fei’s has no armor, is slow as fuck, terribly unsafe on whiff, can’t ultra but you eat a full upclose combo
Yun and yang’s, I wont pronounce myself (maybe a bit too fast…)
Yun/Yangs also have incredibly long range compared to Fei or Makoto or Goukens. (Yang’s is comparable to Fei/Makoto when not doing EX but when he does do EX it is much longer range than either of them.)
i dont know if this was mentioned before and i know is this much of a “rebalance” request, but can’t capcom fix the online point distribution. I definitely feel like it should be closer to how the arcade point distribution works and it’s really misleading when you see someone with like…7k BP but their PP is like…1-2k. Plus, why is that I get more BP than PP when i win a match. I’ve seen BP/PP ratios end up like…130/32. Something not right
I agree. Point system should resemble the arcade version. I don’t understand why we get this weird system, where it’s damn near impossible to get above A+.
I just find it aggravating because I will be someone 2 letter grades above me, and in theory I should get a decent about of points, however Ill get something like 36. However if I lose to that person, and this happened before, Ill lose 75 points, or if I lose to someone a letter grade or 2 below me, Ill lose 81. I dont get it.
Something not character related but I would like to see anyways. An option in matches in which you are actually participating in to save the replay directly to your list instead of the battle log.
Reason for this is that I tend to go on marathon endless rooms quite often and some real gems get lost cause the battle log buffer just can’t hold the entire marathon. So my only choices are to not save the good replay or quit the room early just to be sure I can save it.
Yes, he does need his Super damage back. Look at it like this: Sim was trash tier in Vanilla, got some much needed damage boosts and went to solid mid tier in Super. Now in AE they took that damage away and then some, and as a result he is almost as bad as he was in Vanilla. The only things that make him different from Vanilla is the EX Fires and Drill buffs which he still has. Remove damage from a mid tier Sim and you cripple him. Honda or Guile are not crippled by slight damage nerfs.
“Considerably more” damage? I’m not talking about buffing him above his Super version. You are talking total nonsense if you think that Sim’s damage output in Super was overpowered or needed to be toned down.
LOL, I like how you talk about Dhalsim like he was this big scary character unless you played Cammy, Rufus, Viper, Akuma, or Abel. Even in the matchups where Sim had an advantage (which is a small fucking handful to begin with), he STILL did not dominate anyone due to his low health and damage. Sim had no matches better than 6-4, and all it took was one whiffed anti air, one bad read, one bad limb or Yoga Fire thrown, and he could get stunned and lose the round as a punishment. And that’s how it should be with a character like him. But in AE they made him too weak to compete with not only the top tier, but a lot of his older tough matchups got worse as well.
Exactly. Ok, so Cody has a poor backdash, that means you have to figure out a way to control spacing better utilizing what he has and the options available to him. All this thread is becoming, is people trying to alter their character to make up for some deficiency in their own game or have the character tweaked in a manner that suits their play style best. If Capcom listens to half of the garbage in here the game is done for.
LOL at the Fei commont - No standing HP after ex chicken wing. Some of you have completely lost your minds, and are making utterly stupid requests now.
See this is what I mean. People are just trying to put their main above everyone elses and are just saying some of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever seen.
