It’s nice to see that this is still at EVO (I will probably buy it at the eshop), but I prefer SS6 for the most variety of characters. Unfortunately, recent games can’t keep my attention for long, so I like watching tournaments with the old games played.
Hopefully they’ll start doing more SS2 tournies once the SamSho anthology with netcode drops in a couple months. I played in the SS2 tourney at Evo last year and it was rough having to play it on a Xbox controller.
Wow, I haven’t heard of the Neogeo collection, but it’s coming to the NS as well. It seemed like a waste that they re-released all those arcade archives for this series and now releasing a collection. Of course, I’ll wait for this instead.
Yeah I ended up buying the Arcade Archives port if SS4 for a stream I did, but it’s still a solid game so I wasnt that mad about it. I’m just curious to see if some of the older games will take on a new life now that they have official netcode-ready ports.
Unfortunately, I found out that SS6 won’t be included, since it’s strongly preferred, so it leaves things deprived for me. SS64 is my second favorite. I’ll just play SS5sp and SS2 as an alternative in the collection.
There’s a version of SS6 available already for PS4 but it doesn’t have netcode. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
